Annual boiler service recommendation

Last year i paid plusheat £20 for an annual cover which also includes a boiler service, as i want to maintain my 10yr warranty.

This year i am looking to find a new provider. Is there anyone you'd recommend?

I guess that was £20 per month.
You could look at Utility Warehouse. My friend was paying £12 per month and it included a service.
British Gas "essential" is currently £16.80 monthly, inc service

No, it was one of £20. There is an automatic renewal hence why I'm looking around.

Well around here it costs £70 to £80 for a boiler service alone , that's if you can get hold of a gas fitter that's willing to take the job on.

from my experience with boiler service, most will give it a cursory glance and pretend to take some readings and that's it! i don't rate boiler service as they don't do anything except look at the damn thing and says, yeah, that's fine, payment please

looks like they increased it to £3.45 PM which equals to £41.40 per year for breakdown insurance + one boiler service.

I was paying £1.8 pm last year ending beginning of March this year when they wanted to increase the monthly payment to like around £8pm so I just cancelled and signed up again in my wife's name for another year at £1.8 pm

Read the small print - some of these very cheap monthly payment ones have an excess payable.

Or do not include a service!

I used 24/7 home rescue, about 5 a months with service included. I had homeserve before that.

I didn't, as stated it was just £20 for the year. Promo running last year.

if it's plusheat in WC1B in London then their google reviews are scam scam. It doesn't sound right, £20 payment for one year of cover.

I've got friends who are heating engineers and they charge £60 for the check over and certificate. We have to have the service annual as it's a requirement of the boiler warranty but £60 a year is nothing compared to other household bills. I'd always go local with a local company, if you have an issue in the future at least you're on the books already and have someone to contact. (edited)
