Seem like a good price for 2 pairs of Bridgedale socks, most of them with a Merino blend.

The Amazon page is confusing. Its more accurate once you add an option to basket and you can see exactly what you'll get in the basket page despite the title of the amazon page.

I bought one option yesterday and got them delivered today and can confirm I got 2 pairs.

Three of the options are for two medium pairs:

Seems a good deal so heat from me! However personally Amazon recommends I go for an XL size which doesn’t seem to be available although when I select size it offers M and XL but won’t let me select XL! It’s a strange listing.

Yeah it seems to only work for the medium options or the one medium/large option.
I'm a UK9 / EU43 and the medium is just about right but on the verge of being too short.

You can also regularly find them in store at TK Maxx for £4.99-£6.99 per pair. Have bought 4 or 5 pairs from TK maxx recently

Excellent find. Like you said only works if you're in between sizes. Although wool content is low, should be worthwhile as BD have lifetime warranty I believe.

3 of the options work if you are a pure Medium only, which I am just about, thankfully

Very odd. I purchased two pairs in medium. Basket said I had 2 items but the quantity was 1???? Price was £14.98 though.
Just had email confirmation and there’s only one pair and the charge is £7.15……
