Free Sim to Use to Cancel Phone Contract?

I have a Vodaphone contract ending next month that I want to cancel without contacting them. I have no intention of moving to anyone else either as it was a secondary SIM. Are there any free SIM’s out there that I can transfer my PAC/STAC to to cancel Vodaphone but without having to buy a £10 top up or something?

Can you not kill the contract from within the vodaphone app? Probably needs 30 day notice

Isn't that what the STAC for? To cancel your contract without moving anywhere else?

Unless you want to keep the number in which case I can confirm I have moved to Lebara and Asda mobile for free in the past.

I believe you still have to give the STAC to a new provider. I suppose its irrelevant whether I use PAC or STAC, im just looking for a free SIM for me to move to really without any upfront fees

Three PAYG let you port a number without buying credit first to activate it. You can order a SIM free online or pick them up at many local shops for £1 or less.

Contacting the existing network is mandatory to request PAC/STAC,
although that can be done passively via SMS.

Just contact them, and tell them you won't be renewing.... Ask for a termination date and cancel the direct debit.
