Here's an example of using a £50 voucher to pay for a £14.99 item...
(edited) - Thanks good find. Does anyone know how long the vouchers are valid for? Don't want to convert lots to vouchers if they expire. (edited)"2.3 Expiry date
Please note that vouchers will expire one year after the date they were issued. You can view the expiry date of all your vouchers by viewing the Nectar section in My eBay."
- for once i have this i hardly use nectar now but still lots of points left
so i convert 5000 points /25 pounds then get another 2500/12.50 pounds as a voucher ?AuthorCorrect, but you will get the cashback as Nectar points not as a voucher. Hope that helps. - If you use 5000 points to get a £25.00 eBay voucher, does it need to be used in a single transaction/checkout? Or is it like an Amazon giftcard - where whenever you buy something, it first takes what it can from the voucher and then asks you to pay for the balance? (edited)Apologies it does look like you can do this as I have just tested it at checkout to find out for sure - it does say 'Applied: £13.99 Remaining: £11.01 Exp. 01/05/25' so I assume that's ok (not having actually made the purchase). Sorry to put you on the wrong track.
- Wait till 16th of may if any did the 500,1000,1500 offer
- Some one explain the process not seen this beforeAuthorUpdated the description section with eBay Nectar Tutorial. Hope that helps.
- I’m a single lone nectar account holder lol. Anyone had this and know how to get rid of it? Won’t let me create!Had this before. Contacted live chat about it a few times, first guy didnt have a clue second guy fixed it in a few minutes! Think its a security thing if you havent spent points for a long time, it restricts spending activity.
- Thanks OP. I've created a £25 voucher. Anyone know if I can spend only £10 in one transaction and leave £15 for next?edit, sorry, looks like you can that was from a different voucher faq page I tested going to ebay checkout and for a lesser purchase than my voucher value it does say "Applied: £13.99 Remaining: £11.01 Exp. 01/05/25" haven't actually gone through with the purchase to test it further but I assume that must be ok. Sorry to mislead you! (edited)
- Can you tell me if I click on Create Voucher will it definitely give me the option to amend the amount? I don't want to convert all of my points as I don't spend that much on ebay. Thank youAuthorYes, you get an option to choose the voucher amount.
- Says that it can't find that offer for me.Same here
- Account specific? Don't see it in my offers.AuthorSorry you didn't get the offer, but thanks for letting us know. I have updated the title to reflect that it is account specific.
- Can you create only 1 voucher or more? I mean can you create five £25 vouchers and get back 5x2500 points?"Offer is only valid on your first voucher conversion"
- Just a heads up to anyone who tried but failed a couple of days ago. Like me.
Mine now works. - I only got my voucher yesterday (final day but before promo ended), am I correct that my points are due by 28th June 2024?Countdown begins today
- Thanks OP. £25 voucher created.Did you actually get the voucher yet? I note that point 4 says "Points will be awarded within 28 days of the offer expiry." so I wasn't expecting (edited)
- I converted 1000 points to a £6 voucher. eBay seems to have a minimum spend to use the voucher as I couldn't buy 30 Airwaves mint packets for £10, so I bought 2 and it worked"Can I use my vouchers on any purchase?
There are only a few instances where you cannot use vouchers on your eBay purchases. You need to spend at least £10 including postage on a purchase. You cannot use vouchers on eBay items from the following categories: Cars, motorcycles and vehicles (parts and accessories are NOT excluded), Holidays and travel, Property, Gift vouchers and coupons, Baby feeding formula. The vouchers cannot be used on eBay items from the following sellers: Tesco Outlet, Co-operative Electrical, Telephony providers offering Pay As You Go phones." - 30 days to decide what I want. Tough one. Don't need anything for £25.AuthorActually, you have 1 year to decide what you want. The voucher is valid for 1 year after you convert the points.
- When is it likely they will do an extra bonus points offer like they sometimes seem to do a random times.
Is the £25 voucher the figure due to the £12.50 capAuthorIs the £25 voucher the figure due to the £12.50 cap
Yes, it is but you are free to convert more points if you wish! (edited) - Does it work on items you make a best off on and it’s accepted?AuthorYes, you could use the voucher for an accepted best offer. It is just another form of payment as far as eBay is concerned.
- never had a nectar account. don't know why i would need one but would this be a reason to join? You won't be able to get points in time though nectar is worth joining if you buy quite a bit from eBay and Sainsbury's.
- when does the voucher expire after creating? tia12 months (according to previous posts)
- If I click 'Create Voucher' in Ebay, will it create a voucher with all of my points (as displayed on the screen) or will I get the option to select a voucher value?
I dont want to use all of my points due to the points back limit.AuthorYou get an option to choose voucher value. - Tried yesterday and this morning, on my laptop and phone - keep getting:
"We ran into a problem and can't create your voucher right now. Please try again later."
error. Anyone else getting this ?AuthorYour account might be security restricted. You need to contact Nectar customer service to get the restriction removed. - Just be aware you won't be able to convert your 2500 points back into ebay vouchers (edit: my initial interpretation based on wording of T&C's, happy to stand corrected if this isn't the case). (edited)They will be there to spend on Ebay, just like any other points.
It just wont mention in your Ebay points activity, that you got the points from them. They come direct from Nectar, as kneale81 said. (edited) - Do you have to spend the points to get this, or does just converting them for later qualify?AuthorJust converting would do!
- how long it take to get the extra 50% added on?It will usually take up to 28 days to get your bonus points added to your nectar account
- I can't link my account on the browser cause it automatically fills the nectar card number with the first eight letters instead of the last eleven and won't let you delete it to change it!From memory you shouldn't need to delete the 1st eight, can't you just type in the last eleven to follow?
- Remember it is 50% of the amount back from the First Voucher created, not the total amount if more than one voucher is created
- First time I've done it and I can't find the voucher or the extra 50% promo either"Points will be awarded within 28 days of the offer expiry."
When buying something on eBay, it'll be available on the final checkout page.
You can choose to use it or leave it for next time, but make sure to use it before the 1-year expiry.
For screenshots see this post hotukdeals.com/com…931
You can buy something lower in value than the voucher hotukdeals.com/com…990 (edited) - I still have nectar vouchers unused from a previous purchase that was refunded, can I still do this offer?
Also can I convert the nectar points and just leave them on my eBay account for future use and still qualify? (edited)Most likely yes to both, nothing to lose as long as the offer is showing up in your Nectar account & you click through the link there & do the conversion in that visit. - I did it a few days ago but can’t see points added back yet"Points will be awarded within 28 days of the offer expiry date."
Did mine on 4th & not credited back yet...
(edited) - Got very excited, before seeing the £12.50 cap. Booooo!
I did this four or five years ago when it was unlimited, and cashed £400 in and got £200 back.
Those were the days.oh no, i just converted £50 (10K necatr point). It is most optimal if you convert 5K nectar points (£25 voucher). - Effectively eBay Double-Up event.
This should go supernova.AuthorSorry, is there another eBay Double-Up promotion that I am not aware of? Please could you share the details.
Thanks. - Turn off your heating, take off that thermal vest. Things are about to get warm in here….
- Can we convert the bonus points we get to a voucher to get bonus points on them again? (edited)AuthorYou are forgetting that the bonus points will be awarded within 28 days of the offer expiry.
- Dang, just passed 4000 points and assumed I would be able to exchange for a £20 voucher. It seems that it doesn’t go up in increments though; it’s a £10 voucher for 2000 points but the next voucher available is £25 for 5000 points.
I’ve had a few 5x Nectar points on my weekly shop recently, so I’ll have to see if I can earn another 1000 points in the next 4 weeks. If not, just a £10 voucher for me I guess.Made it to 5000 points this morning thanks to the 3x offer on points for this weeks shop and making sure I bought pretty much everything that had bonus points available. I’ve also got enough Coke Zero to last me through an apocalypse now :-D
£25 voucher created; will keep an eye out for the points coming back towards the end of June. - Cheers
- Weirdly in my Nectar account I see this:
But if I click on the Link now button it just takes me to eBay and shows my nectar points, no option to link the account as it is already linked. I think I'll try creating a voucher anyway and hope I get the points back offer. (edited)Better to link/relink it, find the offer in your account & visit eBay via the offer before creating the voucher hotukdeals.com/com…095 - I've got the offer, had them before over the years and probably only about half have ever paid out without me having to raise it with Nectar CS.
Would suggest you screenshot and keep EVERYTHING to do with this showing dates and times. - Thanks! I was eligible and went for the 5000 point conversion to £25 voucher which I then applied to an order. All went through without a hitch. Took a screenshot of the offer in my Nectar App so any issues down the line, I can attach with a claim for the 2500 point pay back.
Whilst logged into your Nectar account, follow this link nectar.com/off…and - this is a generic link to view ALL the offers in your account - then to activate, must click on 'Visit website' under the eBay offer if it is present there...
