Induction Hobb that doesn't scratch

Can anyone recommend a good robust one? I really like the sound of them but don't fancy tiptoeing around it with pots and pans when cooking. I heard a Neff one has a memory where if you flip a pancake or something it goes back to the original setting.

Also do you recommend one with actual knobs and dials, or touch control?

Thank youu

I have a Neff one that is touch control. I did not select the model and have been happy with it.

I have a protector on mine which I use while cooking so less chance of scratches.

I remove cover once a week to wipe it clean for any odd marks or crumbs etc.

still looks like new after nearly 4 years

I have a Zanussi induction and it's fab so far. Nearly 3 years in and still scratch-free without any form of protector on it. but I do always wipe it down after use/before using again so nothing should be getting burned on to it.

There don't seem to be many with knobs if that is your preference but I did find one for my mother who didn't get on with touch buttons: Cookology CIK602 - she seems happy enough with it.

Touch controls will give you more choice but some are better than others. some have minimal buttons requiring you to first push a button to select which hob you're controlling and then jab at +/- buttons so a bit of a faff, make sure you at least get one with individual controls for each hob. And if you can find one with a 0-9 scale so much the better, just press along the line to control the power rather than jabbing at the +/- buttons

Whatever hob you get, you don't really need hob protectors. Just use kitchen towels, but make sure they're premium, big and thick like Regina Blitz. No supermarket own brands.

I bought these earlier, might be rubbish but I'll report back if anyone's interested!
2 Pcs Induction Hob Protector Mat, Hob Protector Induction Electric Hob Protector Anti Slip Induction Hob Cover, Scratch Protector Cover Heat Insulated Mat, for Induction Cooktops : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen
    (£1.69 for 2pcs)

I just clean my induction hob (boyf has a ceramic hob, but still the same) either with a non-scratch sponge scourer or a bit of kitchen towel and Elbow Grease.

I use Elbow Grease stuff everywhere - they say it's good for stain removing on fabrics but (slight derail) I use The Pink Stuff Oxy Stain Remover Spray for that.
