Looking for advice on a good bike for a tall person

I am 6'4" with a 6' 6" wingspan and finding it hard to find good value bikes in a size that would fit me.

I am looking for a road bike with either a flat or drop bar, hydraulic brakes and gears. Hopefully there is something under £450 however I know it might be challenging to find anything. I would be more happy with second hand but don't know if any popular bike even do sizing big enough to keep a look out for anything particular.

Has anyone spotted anything good?

Bring up loads.
eBay. Use filters for distance away from your.

Also look up local bike project shops. Buy second hand with warranty

Re hydraulic brakes.
Can swap to those later fairly cheaply if mechanical aren't for you (edited)

Yeah buyer beware but use common sense.

Loads of people selling all sorts including bikes that aren't used.
Bike sales boomed in lockdown with many going unused.

Hydraulic brakes might be tricky for under £450 unless you find something on a super special offer.

This is way over your budget at just over £800 built and delivered and is already reduced so that might give you an idea of what your money can buy.

For that money, I'd look at used used all day long. You can have a look at some bikes in your local bike shops and try them for size and see roughly what frame size you're going to be looking for. Then it's a case of scouring marketplace and Gumtree for something you can check out in person unless you find one on ebay that's close enough to check out before the auction ends.
