This is very good value, but just to manage expectations before you start planning: Theme park tickets will be approx. £2400, Car hire another £700.

Not quite accurate. Disney £500, universal £300, sea world £120. Car hire should be about £400 for a basic car for 2 weeks. I’ve been 4 times post covid and haven’t paid more than £850 for a minivan for 3 weeks.

You can do Ubers everywhere cheaper than car hire, and they drop you right by the Entrances to the parks, no parking fees which are quite a bit these days. My son did it last year and even had an Uber to Gator Land. I thought he was mad as we've always rented a car.

Stayed in these apartments and they were great. Right in the middle of everything

I stayed there once too and loved it but heard they've removed the free breakfast now and crippled the bus service to the theme parks which has made it less desirable

We stayed there a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed it very clean excellent location on international drive opposite Icon Park, loads of restaurants close Saltgrass steak was brill.
When we booked stated no breakfast although when we got there we were supplied it which was useful when we wanted to get out early. Not brilliant breakfast but adequate so couldn’t grumble.
We normally have a Villa near H27 and don’t venture much onto International Drive but really enjoyed. Great price and good find

We stayed here a few years ago and again last year.
The breakfast is gone now which is a shame. The bar/restaurant over the road is also gone as is the cici’s pizza and the mini-market. It’s still good being close to icon park but it’s lost a bit of its appeal. At this price though it’s an absolute steal!

How much do you budget for food and drink? Trying not to strike a balance of not eating McDonald’s everyday or spending an absolute fortune at rip off places

$100 - $120 a day for family 4 but really depends where you eat

We stayed there last year and is not as nice as the photos show, breakfast wasn’t included either.
They had a small coffee shop which was only open for a few hours on a morning.
Staff were friendly ,but they had messed up our rooms aswell.

I'm planning a trip next year. Are magic tickets the only option? Can't I only pay for the trips I need?
    steveieboy1's avatar
You can buy day tickets when you get there but you may as well get a 14 day with memory maker.

Heat! Be warned It will be very hot there in august. Also it’s cripplingly expensive in the parks and everywhere really. Our 4 family 2 week holiday cost us £10k pre covid.

Add £6000 on that for park , water park , transport, food and drink . USA is 100% more expensive to eat and drink now compared to pre covid .

We stayed here on a similar last minute deal last year(booked 6 weeks before). Really great hotel, we self catered (6 of us) as the suites had a kitchen although the price of groceries were very high but cheaper than eating out every day. Staff there were amazing 👏 We were there during hurricane Ian and they got board games out etc.
First time we'd been without a car but uber was fantastic..even with 6 of us! And also the I ride, a stop just outside and the hotel also had a bus daily for the main parks.
Highly recommend this place (a little dated in parts but everything else makes up for it). Just make sure to take plenty of spending money! (edited)
