    Firm or soft best?

I ordered firm and found them too soft. I'm a side sleeper and have started waking up with a neck ache so looking for a replacement

Premier inn has gone downhill. No more hypnos beds it's slientnight now and it did my back in first night. Cost 200 in treatment still not right. Their pillows are awful now as well. I used to love their beds but they have really made a big mistake. Loads of bad reviews.

It took me years trying, to get a comfy pillow. By chance last year, I had an onward flight cancelled and I had to stay in Lisbon for 1 night at a hotel opposite the airport. The Mrs was upset about the disruption, but the pillows, for me, were absolutely amazing. I then found similar pillows in Argos via a HUKD post. They cost me £6.99 for 2! Soft, thin but still 'pillowy' Habitat ones. I start off sleeping on my back and wake up on my stomach in the morning lol

Do you have a link to those pillows?

I’m a side sleeper but I sleep on my arm with my arm on the pillow so I don’t think I’m going to find any pillow the best! I know I’m not the only one who sleeps this way! I’m wondering whether any HUKDers are the same and what their solutions are!? Thanks in advance.

As someone who suffered with posture issues for years - to the point that I couldn't sit down for more than 20 mins without sciatica having something to say - and has just solved it, this is what worked for me:

An orthopedic pillow. Kally Sleep is my current one. Allows me to sleep on my side (which I love but know I shouldn't do but also I can't fall asleep unless on my side!) but also switch to my back without having to flip the ends like some orthopedic pillows.

For side sleeping, you'll need four pillows to be sure you don't crush your shoulder. Like this but I have my loose wrist up on the pillow by my head and the fourth across my body/under my arm:

Separate from that, if you're an office worker get yourself a decent chair - Steelcase, Herman Miller are ideal but pricey.
A gaming chair is NOT an ergonomic chair (edited)

Mattress on sale too. I'd highly recommend if you have a dodgy back like moi.

Excellent, always had a good night sleep at Premier. Apart from 1 night when the fire alarm went off due to someone smoking in their room on another floor. Went off at 2.30 in the morning and all babies out in cold.
Refused any compensation on there good sleep policy as its a health and safety feature of the hotel.

Anyways.....been looking for a decent pillow, so if these are the same, may have cracked it 😁

I had a similar (but different) experience. Some years ago, I stayed at the Premier Inn in Brighton for the weekend with some mates and we had three rooms between us. There is a Greggs and a Subway below the hotel, and on Saturday morning, one of those shops burnt some bread which set their smoke alarm off. Being below the hotel, it also sets off the alarms in the hotel. We were evacuated at 6am for about 20 minutes, then they let us back in. We were all fully reimbursed for that night under the good night's sleep policy without us even having to ask, but sadly I can't remember what the pillows were like

Ordered yesterday and still not got an email confirmation, strange as o didn’t create an account so unable to check the order ?
    markwilliams363's avatar
That is strange. You should get an order confirmation email and then an email again once the items have been dispatched. (speaking from experience)

I recently purchased the firm pillows, found them to be too high loft for me.

I was under the impression that hotel branded pillows and mattresses and so on are cheaper versions. I notice that there's a lot of heavy implication but the site doesn't actually say it's the same thing they use in their rooms.
  26. BurmanP's avatar
Ordered, thank you. Next their mattress.
  27. Bugwan's avatar
Awful pillows, so much better when they used to have Fogerty pillows instead of cheap Chinese pillows. The mattresses are amazing though - Hypnos.
    Rickardo's avatar
I believe they no longer use Hypnos - their website now states it's Silentnight
  28. ashman33's avatar
Try a latex pillow. Expensive though
  29. oscarcat's avatar
Does anyone know if these are the actual pillows used in premier Inn rooms, or are they just a product produced to sell and make extra profit. (edited)

I was looking at these but changed my mind after looking at panda.

I bought these a few weeks ago and so far I really like them! We got firm and soft. I prefer the soft straight out the packet, but the firm may soften up after a bit of use - so unsure which will use in the long term! The 10 tog duvets really cosy too!

While they are good I don't think they lasted any longer than cheaper pillows. I don't think I even got a year out of them.

Does Premier Inn bedding differ between hotels? I was in the Edinburgh Hub and they had luxurious box shaped pillows (great for side sleepers) and a wool duvet. However the Premier Inn in Cardiff had pretty average pillows and duvets that I didnt think much of. I wanted to buy the set I found in Edinburgh ideally. (edited)
