No, you need an nvme drive that is 2230 size. this is 2280 = 80mm long. 2230 = 30mm

The Kioxia is more durable TLC NAND and has DRAM cache.
It's better in every way except sequential speeds, which is the least important aspect of a drive unless you spend a lot of time writing/transferring large files.
For OS/general use/gaming, the Kioxia is a better performer.

If someone IS buying a drive they plan on writing large files to frequently, the Crucial is still a bad option due to the low endurance QLC NAND.

This integral TLC NAND drive is a good choice for some, faster sequential speeds than the Kioxia, but no DRAM cache -

Why are SSD's dropping in price so rapidly? Gen 5 or something? I remember when the SN750 2TB for £94 was seen as glitch of the year

the major reason is US has a execute order asking microchip manfacturing factory need to leave China before a certain period. This make those manfactory speed up their manfacturing, get cash as musch as possible, before they need to leave. the supply increase made the wholesale price drop and we benefit from that ...

Will this be ok to use with the Series X/S? For external storage with a caddy?

Not 100% sure with Series X, but PS5 requires Gen 4 and speeds of 5,500 mb/s+ for PS5 games.

It would work fine for older games, but I assume you mean Series X / S native games.
