This is one of the best Gen.3 NVMe SSDs on the market.

Yes, it's QLC and no, it almost certainly doesn't matter unless you have a very specific use case.

These have been tuned for very fast random read performance, which is what most people will notice when using the drive as their primary / OS drive in a system. There are more technical details here, if you're bored: solidigm.com/pro…tml

Make sure to install the Solidigm driver / dashboard software as it can have some minor performance benefits as well as updating the drive firmware (plus it also reports on any other SSDs in your system in a pretty nice interface): solidigm.com/pro…tml

Oh, and I almost forgot... it won't work in PS5 .

Max. sequential read: 3500 MB/s
Max. sequential write: 2700 MB/s
Endurance rating: 740 TBW (for those who say that's low, keep in mind that it's around 400 GB every single day over a 5 year period.

I've got the 1TB version and it generally seems to be cool. Between 26C and 32C at idle. Hits high 50s when working it hard. Possibly higher depending on what you use it for. But most of the time in 30s when I've checked.

I've had it for almost a year and has been good so far. 98% life left (edited)

This is a solid choice for a non-gaming machine.

Fine for PC gaming, not fine for PS5 gaming.

Only £1.50 cheaper, and that's £1.50 well spent with Amazon if you happen to need to return it in the event of any problems. (edited)

Usually cheaper and better perofming than the P41 Plus (670p has DRAM while the P41 doesn't).
Would choose this over Crucials QLC offerings any day of the week (even though I'm no fan of QLC, that's thanks to Crucial).

It's been this price elsewhere for a long, long time, at least Amazon have matched it. (edited)

Anyone been able to install the Solidigm Synergy Driver for Intel SSD 670P?

I followed the link in the description and downloaded the zip file. The Synergy Program works fine but it gave a message saying no Solidigm SSD detected, it would download the driver but not install it until a Solidigm drive detected?
