If an item had 20% VAT removed from it, that would be equivalent to ~16.7% off. So have Superdrug discounted by 20% or discounted by amount of VAT that would have been charged typically?

I believe the VAT situation is still under discussion so Superdrug just cut price down for the range by 20%. At least this is my understanding (edited)

Think of it this way - many people won't be staying indoors in the sun regardless. If you price people out of suncare, you will just increase the likelihood of skin cancer in the population, draining the NHS more. Prevention is far cheaper than cure, instead of fighting a futile battle to change people's behaviour, a more practical approach will probably have a bigger impact. (edited)
