Critics Consensus
Akira is strikingly bloody and violent, but its phenomenal animation and sheer kinetic energy helped set the standard for modern anime. Read critic reviews

Great price on one of my all time favourites. Any idea what the transfer on this is like?

It may be if you have an old stock you can request an HDR replacement from the distributor Funimation - search Google for it. Also search Reddit when / if you get a disc, for the codes printed on the 4K disc to see if you have the HDR one. Mine came 4K SDR but Funimation sent me a replacement 4K HDR no quibble and I could keep the original.

Has anyone ordered? Can they confirm if Rarewaves provide the HDR copy?
