Amazon Fire Pro remote is customisable with back lit buttons

info added by

  • “Alexa, find my remote”: use the Alexa app, Fire TV app or a device with Alexa and the Alexa Voice Remote Pro will emit a ring. No more searching cushions.
  • Backlit for your convenience: navigate film night with a motion-activated back light that illuminates buttons in dimly-lit rooms.
  • Two customisable buttons: create your own shortcuts to favourite channels, apps or any of the numerous Alexa commands.
  • Dedicated headphone button: a new shortcut to the on-screen Bluetooth menu that lets you pair your wireless headphones faster.
  • Integrated TV controls: control power and volume, or surf live TV with dedicated channel buttons, all from one remote.
  • Press and ask Alexa: use your voice to find your series, open apps, manage volume and even control compatible smart home devices.
  • Compatible with most Fire TV streaming media players and Smart TVs with Fire TV built in.
  • Not compatible with Fire TV Stick (1st generation).

We want you to know:

Alexa Voice Remote Pro is compatible with most Fire TV devices and other popular TVs, soundbars and A/V receivers, however, it is not compatible with all brands or models. We recommend using this compatibility guide to ensure Alexa Voice Remote Pro is compatible with your Fire TV device before placing an order.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro does not feature the four coloured buttons (red/green/yellow/blue) found on other smart TV remotes for interactive services via Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV).

The Remote Finder feature has a range of up to 10 m and requires the Fire TV device to be turned on.

App buttons may vary. Channel button functionality is limited to compatible apps.

A remote that helps you find itself, and more.
Spend less time searching, more time watching. Just say, “Alexa, find my remote” to any Amazon device with Alexa, an Alexa built-in device, the Alexa app, Fire TV app or use the Remote Finder button within the Fire TV app. A built-in speaker will emit a ring to lead you right to it. You can then use integrated TV controls or two customisable buttons to find and get to your entertainment quickly. App button may vary.

The Remote Finder feature has a range of up to 10 m and requires the Fire TV device to be turned on.

Your remote. Your shortcuts.
Assign your favourite channels and apps to two customisable buttons for quick access to your chosen content. You can also assign any of your favourite Alexa commands, so you can turn on compatible smart lights, check the weather or view your Ring camera with one touch. Just press and hold. Then, select a shortcut option from the on-screen pop-up. You can easily set recently used apps, Alexa commands or smart home controls.

Full sound. Zero disturbance.
A dedicated headphone button gives you quick access to your on-screen Bluetooth menu where you can pair or unpair your favourite audio device. Whether you’re starting a late-night game session or relaxing with a film, you can pair your wireless headphones with ease.

These usually go cold on here but I like mine, got two now. Just wish they were also USB rechargeable as they eat batteries.

    How long do batteries last?

Aren't u better of getting the fire stick and remote as a bundle
    deleted2361622's avatar
They don’t bundle the pro version (not even with the most expensive fire cube 3rd generation) It’s only available sold separately

If it looked like it does in the picture (with 4 blank programmable buttons at the bottom) I'd buy it. But I don't have, or want, Disney+ or Netflix so having 2 buttons I won't use would just annoy me slightly. (edited)

This is what you get on the bottom 50546766-r1oJp.jpg

Hi Bill that's a different remote to the one in this deal. This deals has a different button layout and has 4 customisable buttons. The buttons at the bottom of the remote you have are fixed to the services displayed on them and Amazon has been very strict about removing any methods to customise them, presumably so they can sell the remote in this deal which has customisable buttons.

I use the app on my phone saves searching for the remote.

Are you using the app to control your Fire TV stick?
    What app is that?
Because I damaged my remote and it doesn't work anymore

nice looking controller, but 25 quid?! way too expensive, but if people are willing to get ripped off that's why the price will stay high

Why is a selling point I can pair a TV remote with my headphones?

One click toggle between your paired BT headphones and TV speakers. It's a very specific feature I suppose but the world of remote controls is like that.

I bought this for my fire tv. I got it full price and its certainly not worth £35. Even with £10 off still a little over priced for the features you get with it. Plus I thought I was getting a remote i could recharge but its not. Max price this should be going for is £18 I think a more reasonable price for it.

Anyone know if you can use these (fully featured) with an nvidia Shield? Thx (edited)

Why would anyone pay £25 just for a remote when you can pay a bit more and get it included with the actual stick? Crazy.
    Cold.
    charlie12's avatar
This product is not included with any stick.

Had my eye on this for ages, backlit buttons would be useful for me, as well as the programmable buttons 1+2, too, may buy this. Just hate the preprogrammed buttons s most of the apps i don't have a current subscription for.

The feature to find my remote is useful, i've lost two remotes already.

I completely sympathise. I’ve thrown a couple of remotes over the neighbours fence. Haven’t found them yet. This upgraded remote should help with that…

this is cool. been thinking about apple tv or amazon cube. Anyone know if the cube will be on offer?! if so would be seriously tempted... i've read apple tv is superior though and the cube lacks depth in colours? anyone know?
    cheers

Got one off ebay for a tenner, when I lost my old one. Works absolutely fine.

Still not a great design. Should be able to use key buttons without looking. So easy to hit the home button rather than pause.

It looks like a poor remote for that compared with the original. Just a mass of buttons now. Even remotes with more buttons are easier to operate by feel compared to this one.

I've lost my fire remote. Was going to buy the Roku 4k as a replacement. Anyone have any views as to why I'd pay more for a replacement remote rather than a cheaper whole new system? Thanks (edited)

well some people like myself bought it as an upgrade for the Amazon TV Range. so I can see why its sold on its own
