This is not the USB C version.

  • Up to 2x more Active Noise Cancellation than the previous-generation AirPods Pro, so you’ll hear dramatically less noise during your commute and when you need to focus.
  • Adaptive Transparency lets you comfortably hear the world around you, all while minimising the intensity of loud noises like sirens or construction in real time.
  • Personalised Spatial Audio surrounds you in sound tuned just for you. It works with dynamic head tracking to immerse you deeper in music and movies.
  • Four pairs of silicone tips are included to fit a wider range of ears, with a new extra small size. The tips create an acoustic seal to help keep out noise and secure AirPods Pro in place.
  • Touch control now lets you swipe the stem to adjust volume. Press the stem to play and pause music or to answer or end a call, or hold it to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Transparency.
  • IPX4 sweat- and water-resistant AirPods Pro and MagSafe Charging Case.
  • A more capable MagSafe Charging Case with Precision Finding, built-in speaker and lanyard loop. Charge with an Apple Watch or MagSafe charger. Or use the Lightning connector or a Qi-certified charger.

What do you mean not the usb c version ?
Is this not the latest version ?

There are two versions of the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. Think of them as 2.0 and 2.1.

2.0 has a lightning port in addition to the wireless charging capability of the case.

2.1 has a USB-C port instead, and support for lossless audio with Apple Vision Pro and increased dust resistance.

tbh the additional tech features of the 2.1 are not really worth much, I think simply having a USB-C port for unified charging with everything else is the best feature.

Aren’t Amazon riddled with fakes because of the way their stock system works?
    Maples's avatar
I’ve been told the chances of Amazon having fakes is 100% based off interactions on here and Reddit. You’re better off buying direct with Apple (physically attending the store).

I have 1st gen AirPods Pro…..does anyone have 1st hand experience of whether these are significantly better?!

I use Gen 1s for the gym and Gen 2s at home and for general usage. It’s a noticeable improvement but not night and day

anyone got these and the bose qc35? how do they compare in a flight/train ride?
    dav31's avatar
I have the usb c version and took 44 hours of flights last month, they are much better than the Bose, better noise cancellation and more compact. Although it could be because the Bose are getting old and the seal is not as good. The AirPods do need charging in their case every 5-6 hours for 15-30mins to top up the charge, but it wouldn’t be comfortable to wear them constantly for 14 hours anyway.

Watch out - they have very bad mic. You can't speak outside if it is even small wind.

No offence, but there may something wrong with your AirPods. The mics on mine perform really well. Frequently talk while cycling. Plus, you’ve got voice enhancing AI on iPhone while using your AirPods Pro.

Not a big enough step up from Huawei freebuds pro for me... In earphones are so much better than headphones for anyone reading that uses overhead headphones. I have studio beats and they're horrible in comparison even had the Sony wh1000mx2 or whatever they're called and there's no way to compete with the sound quality of in ears. Just make sure they fit well

Maybe in your opinion, but having used many types of both I don’t think in ear will ever compare to over ear in the same price bracket.

Great find, great price. Shame I got mine earlier few weeks ago from Very for £209. They are worth the money.

Good compared to what? A similar wired headphone would trounce it for sound.

I love my Sony xm3, but I know they are knowhere near my wired setup.

lightning version, no usb c. worth paying the £20-30 extra for the newer one and saving yourself the hassle of two cables if you have a newer iphone.

Can’t imagine anyone has managed to get Curry’s to price match these?
    ROSG04's avatar
worth a try but don't think currys have the lightning ones anymore

Gen 2 USB C has lossless audio with the Vision Pro, unlike gen 2 lightening. The technology is there for them to enable lossless audio with the iPhone
