Amazing price, but very hard to wear depending on your ears' shape. I had to return mine.

I had trouble with the fit as well. Fitted perfectly when I first got them, but after a few months the hooks started to loosen.

Controls are amazing and they are sensational for calls but the sound is very ordinary even for open ear, and the battery life was also really disappointing.

I have a set of these. They're ideal for maintaining situational awareness while out and about, and a vast improvement versus those earbuds you have to ram down your ear canals. The downside however is that you will have to faff about to make them fit in the right place, and I can definitely get that some people may just have the wrong shaped ears for them.

Do these wear like the Samsung Buds Live, such that the tip doesn't actually go into the ear canal?

They don't have a tip. The circle with the hole in fits inside your ear. From what I understand, that hole allows you to still hear what's going on around you while you listen. That's why I wanted this model. So I can use them at work without shutting out the world. I've ordered some and just hope they fit ok as some people have had issues with the fitting. I would be surprised if I couldn't get them to fit, though. I wouldn't expect Sony to release a product that wouldn't fit in the vast majority of ears. (edited)

Thanks, OP. Have been interested in these but always thought £150 is a bit much. At £75, worth a punt.
