FWIW I have about 6 of these and they are great but recently purchased the Eufy version which are cheaper and think if I need any more I'll buy more of those as they are smaller have a keyring hole and have the same functionality. Didn't tag my keys until I got the Eufy ones as the AirTag plus a holder is too cumbersome.

Only Apple’s own tags will do “precision finding” with an iPhone11 or later. That apart, there are licensed ‘clones’ that will work essentially identically with Apple’s FindMy app/network. The clones generally include a keyring hole (so attachment isn’t extra) and DON’T by their appearance scream “this is an Apple owner’s handbag/whatever” to the thieving world.
My Atuvos clone might be a bit hungry on batteries, the Eufy is fine (my choice for another purchase) and I haven’t yet tried the Chipolo Spot. I haven’t investigated the credit card thin versions.
The clones are cheaper, typically under £20.
But, IF you want Precision Finding OR want to flaunt a Hermes leather tag-carrier on your (Bentley?) keyring, then go for Apple’s own branded tags.

Are you sure the others use the same apple network? I thought only apple tags could use the iphone network

    Great price.

I used these during my last long haul trip. One in each suitcase, one in each hand baggage. Reaslly useful to check the whereabouts of your suitcases - and piece of mind in case you hand baggage goes 'walkabout'

Would this be good as a bicycle tracker in case it gets stolen? Or would the stalker alert give it away?

Guess it depends how long it’s gone for. Seen a number of video where people recovered their bike that they placed to be stolen. But these were in the early days when it was 3 days before the stalker notification. I have heard someone who’s bike was stolen only to track the tag that’d been removed. While they don’t know how it was spotted after a day or 2 of it being stolen one could assume it was the stalker notification that caused the thief to find and remove the tag.
