It's definitely better to charge slower as a rule. I'd never use a quick charge setup for the bedside. They're useful if you're running low on battery and you're heading out for the evening, for example.

Sure apple devices charge slow for a reason, trickle charge to extend battery life?

Hm i was not aware about that. But this deal includes an adapter.

Just a heads up, even these alleged ‘fast charge’ cables cannot charge as fast as the official cable. This has been demonstrated in numerous places. You’re better off sourcing an official cable - I picked one up from KRCS for £15. You can also get an official Apple 61W USB C power brick from Cex for £25 and the official 1m cable for £12, so £37 all-in. The brick will fast charge any Power Delivery supporting device, which will include most USB C devices, so it’s a useful brick to have for Android devices and PCs too. You don’t need the Apple power brick to get the fastest charge - just the Apple cable - but the Apple power brick is very solidly made and has a decent output that will rapidly charge my laptop, for example.

Yes, it will work like a regular Bluetooth. Although it does have a few more features when connected to an iOS device.

Could this work with Samsung tablets

I have no issue with wireless charging, I accept that some phones run out of charge a few times a day (though my P20 Pro isn't one of them (y) ) but my Airpods need charging about every 2-3 weeks... I'm mainly offering this advice for people who are considering their first set, and don't know if they need to pay the extra for wireless - they don't.

I don't. I have wireless earphones. But I see why people should be skeptical... You're literally putting in inside you lol. And straight past your brain. I know it's not the same but would you be comfortable having two phones on the same call, one on each of your ear. I'd be a bit concerned but there's not a lot of avoiding it you can do

Nice congratz, yeah it would be nice to go wireless even on the charging front...just not sure how annoying it will be if I lose one of the ears lol

I’ve just started a new job. Possibly might treat myself with my first pay packet. Just need a new deal to come up!

Apple must be doing something right to rattle the droids.

There's plenty of evidence of apple's market share rapidly declining in china, if that's what you're talking about. It's hard to sell such an expensive phone in a country where plenty of new recent companies make phones with the same quality of materials for a much lower price. Especially difficult when chinese consumers needs are better dealt with android phones. I'd advise you quit with the ignorance and fanboyism and actually do some research into the phone market and realise that simply shouting at people claiming all sorts of random things about android phones while not being able to criticise apple for shoddy treatment of customers doesn't work. I've used both ios and android in recent years, but i usually find apple are the company who routinely have the worst reputation when it comes to bad business practices and design flaws in their products, especially bad that it takes lawsuits for them do even acknowledge issues, let alone fix them as they should.

It’s highly likely they’re fake. Apple investigated ‘genuine’ Apple products sold on Amazon and found 90% of them to be fake.

I suspect it might be that these are the 3.5mm jack and not lightning connector nearly ordered until I realised that! Those are more expensive https://www.digitalsave.co.uk/official-apple-earpods-with-lightning-connector.html I've ordered from these guys before and the stuff seems genuine just not in a retail box.

Voted hot. Cold votes are likely due to the fact that these don’t come in the original package.

I don't think it is designed as a charging hub. It is a data hub and so would probably not be able to handle the high loads. I haven't tried any high power devices on mine. For your needs I would suggest this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Anker-4-Port-PowerPort-Interchangeable-White/dp/B01MXXOQTE or even this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Charger-PowerPort-Charging-Multi-Port-Black/dp/B00VTI8K9K or depending on if you need even more power: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-PowerPort-Family-Sized-Technology-Smartphones-Black/dp/B00PK1IIJY

But what if u were to put it into a socket. Put the usb into a plug and use it to charge multiple devices

You can, but it wont support a high powered device. It is running off a laptops usb port and then being split up into 4. Anker state: "The hub will sync but not charge tablets (such as an iPad) and other devices that require a higher power input. Connected devices must not exceed a total of 5V / 900 mAh."

Could this be used to expand one port for an oculus rift which requires 3 x USB3 ports anyone know?

Why can u not use for charging?

Have 2 pairs of Liberties and they are great value. This is a great price for the + but I could never justify the premium over the standard model. :{

The battery life for these is the same. Both have a play time of 3.5 hours but the + has a far battery pack in the case. The + provides an additional 48 hours play rather than the 24 hours on the standard buds. The + also has Bluetooth 5.0.
