I think all of the above. I remember when I got my PS5 from Amazon, I was not asked for anything...but some people had theirs stolen or it never got to them, so this was introduced after.
I bought a couple of "high priced/value" from them and had to provide a one time code.
It was a Shark Cordless Vacuum cleaner, and a Logitech G pro X superlight gaming mouse. Probably easy items that can be "misplaced" and end up being resold.

Edit: Just checked my email I got a code as well saying I will need a code. (edited)

It's crazy how people openly flaunt the fact that they picked up so many for eBay and genuine buyers, who want to use the product, miss out. Not being able to regulate this is costing honest buyers and it's shameful. Heat for the deal and for those who managed to pick it up.

How do they compare against Bose 700 in term of noise cancelling?

Amazon currently have Sony's WH1000XM4s in black for £169 down from RRP of £350. The lowest I'd seen them previously is £201.

I've had these now for 1 year 2 months and have used them almost daily for anywhere Inbetween 8-12 hours (work, gaming, gym).

They are still as good as the day I bought them, actually even better as the ear cups are nice and broken in. Battery is still amazing and I have not noticed any major difference since new.

I've chucked these in a backpack without the case, I've exposed them to the rain for a few seconds. They have been dropped off my desk and then picked up again with hands covered in butter because I'm eating toast. All still working fine.

So worth the £221.25 I paid for them so this price is a no brainer.

The only minor complaints I have are that the included 3.5mm cord (amazing quality by the way) was too short to use on a PC in wired mode so I ended up getting a 3 metre braided cable to use with it, and that the USB-C is for charging only. These would be amazing if they could do USB-C audio like some of the higher end gaming headsets can do.

The built in mic is serviceable for the odd Teams / Zoom call, but if you have regular meetings, you are going to want to get a separate mic for reasons I can explain more depth of you want me to.

Always tempted by things like this but trying to be level headed! Very almost pulled the trigger. Heard audio quality is similar with improvements being on the noise cancelling and frequency response. If i didn't already have a pair of XM3s this would be a no brainer. Especially with the amazon pay monthly /5 months.

I mean...considering it hasn't even dispatched and they have upped the price,I'd say buying 10 pairs just flags it up in the system and ruins the thing for everyone else.

Well, I managed to convince her in the end.
All it took was her spending all of Friday in a huff, and then had the "chat" on Friday evening after work. Eventually, I got her to see the full price and she was OK with the discount. Luckily, I had the option to pay over 5 months so that's an added bonus. I offered to return my XM4 earbuds to JL(with the free Google nest hub), but she said herself that those would be more useful when I'm out shopping.
It's been an expensive month for me already, but at least I am sorted for headphones for the next few years.
When I finally opened up the package and showed her the case and headphones themselves, she was impressed...I don't think she was expecting so much.

Thanks for sharing this deal again OP. Always wanted these, Loving them so far the little I got to use them!

It's not £40 profit... Obviously you have eBay chargers and postage cost. So mostly you can get £25-£30 profit. Which is not worth a trouble. Furthermore, the eBay joke is almost in all threads (edited)
