As far as Ultimate tickets go currently this is competitive.

I would also definately consider joining the Costco wholesalers. (uk membership is good for use in the US) They offer a Universal 3 month pass that includes parking for $89 pp - thats about £60 for three months unlimited entry to Universal Island of adventure, Citywalk attractions and Studios. You have to buy them in the when you get there from the Costco on Orange Blossom Trail. (nr Florida Mall)

I would personally now go for MYW tickets for Disney if you are a repeat visitor and Ultimate tickets if it's your first time.

The Costco tip is the best I can offer. Along with getting youself some of the kidseatfree cards if you are taking kids. It'll save you a fortune in cheap lunches.

This isn't true. Enter your dates on the first screen and click the "Ticket Only" radio button. You will then be able to purchase at £210 per ticket.

And only £14 pp is great on these tickets - particularly if you have a few going. They are usually a fairly standard price and £210 is a great price.

I have family going, but they are only going to the madness for a week...It might be an idea anyone going to post their dates, as someone might be able to buy these tickets, and then sell the other week to someone else for a good price? Depends on the dates right enough, but might be worth considering...My family are going "the end of March", and there is about 7 of them.
I will get the exact date, and it might suit someone else who will be there round about the same time and needing a week ticket?

HOT, but I still get annoyed that less than two years ago you would have been paying £170 for the same ticket. £40-50pp hikes in ticket prices without any extra value is outrageous. I'm boycotting the Disney parks until they drop their ticket prices back to a realistic level.

Last year they were charging £240pp for the 14 day ultimate ticket! Thats nearly £1000 for a family of four...

As good as it is in Disney thats just greed on a massive scale. Oh and don't forget your $11 a day to park!!!

Btw: Bare in mind that park hopping is a convenience that costs. If you are prepared to plan your visits a little more stategically then the 10 day MYW base ticket works out at approx £158 from these guys:

Very complicated subject, yes Disney have increased prices(although its a lot to do with exchange rates) but Disney are more interested in getting you to stay in their hotels, feed you, sell you merchandise and keep you in Disney while in Florida.
They increase tickets because they can and it works for them, what they then do is give you offers to stay onsite, I have again booked Old Key West for 20 nights in August. To stay there in July it would cost me £192/night, August its costing only £100/night and includes all your food for upto 4 people, last year for just 3 of us we averaged free food with a value of £100/day. so buying tickets which are a bit pricey to some is a bargain to me to get this offer.
They also give free parking if you stay onsite (by the way its $14 now, not $11)

I went to florida last year and bought my tickets b4 went for £208 for 21days ultimate disney from the tour opp cosmos. My folks came over for 14nites and bought there tickets in florida they paid around £150 for 14nites.

Good work with the site but, with respect, I disagree with some of your statements. I've been a decade long visitor to Florida sometimes three times a year and I have always paid between £140-170 for my 14 day ticket. The first year we went the exchange rate was $1.51 last year it was $1.65

A family of four including parking will pay approx £65-80 a day now on a 14 day ticket and thats if you do a disney park EVERY DAY OF YOUR HOLIDAY. As good as it is, you will need to take at least two or three days off from Mickey to regain your sanity. Although value is still competitive it's nowhere near as competitive as other parks in Florida which offer family tickets.

Other than that I can't comment as I have never stayed on site and I can see the advantages might add up if you can get food thrown in. I don't know.

All I know from my visit last year is that in 2009 I felt poor value with Disney for the first time ever. In todays climate no business can justify price hikes to regular customers without adding value. The 2009 park entry figures were drastically down on 2007 & 2008. I think that says it all really.

Don't think 2009 figures are released until April, Have you seen a pre-report?
2008 were flat on 2007 figures (good compared to 2.5-3% drop for other Florida Themeparks)

Personally I would expect a slight decrease for 2009 with the recession, many like myself have cut trips, we go upto 4 times a year (upto 10 weeks a year) but this year cutting it to 2 (maybe 3) trips. Many others will be doing the same, I know many Americans that didn't do their usual annual trips to Disney.. For me its not down to ticket prices, its the flights prices.
Unfortunately Disney are in it for the money and nothing else, they are not going to reduce prices. All just my opinion, totally appreciate yours.

Anyone know if they are doing a discount on 21day tickets, there's 8 of us going in August and we all need tickets for then, I have only found them in the travel brouchures so far, but if anyone knows of anyone.

We don't think that it is possible to share tickets. Last time we went we had to scan our fingers and associate them with our passes.

We stayed at Port Orleans FQ for 2 weeks, with Unlimited tickets and the table service dining plan that cost £1800 for 3 of us plus £900 for flights.
If we'd have waited the flights would have been about £150 cheaper.
Virgin contacted me to say that for 20000 air miles and one adult ticket I'd get another free. Hotels etc bought through WDWTravel (with a few perks).

We tend to get a PARKS ONLY ANNAL PASS which at the moment is approx £307 (quick conversion on xe.com from $489 listed price). The savings we make on hotels / food / drink / free parking and other areas over a period of 14 days + with the annual pass soon eat up the extra £100 cost.

If you've got a family member somewhere with the same surname who is a members of the Disney Vacation Club you can get them to buy you an Annual Pass at the discounted DVC rate of £243 ($389). My in-laws are members and Disney once put their surname on my card by accident so now the in-laws just take mhy old card up and renew it pretending i'm their son - no ID required because old card has the correct surname :whistling: (renewal DVC price is even better at £215 ($344).

If you have an annual pass you can also buy another card called [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=2]TABLES IN WONDERLAND. [/SIZE][/FONT]This cost around £47 ($75) but again over a two week period with discounts of up to 20% on food and drink (inc alcohol) at a lot of places in and out of the parks around Disney we always make our money back on a two week trip (plus it lasts for a year).

Most people don't consider the annual pass but even at full price the discounts are very good sometimes. You could make a saving just in the discounts you get using it to book your hotel.

We went to Florida in March last year, the weather abit cold some day you might need a jumper or thin jacket specially at night or early in the morning. Got a deal from First choice about £1000 for 2adult + 1infant for 2 weeks included contienal hotel + flight.+ car rental ( but you have to pay for car insurance and it's turn out cheaper if you get car rental + insurance somewhere else, well that's what we did anyway ). At the hotel we're staying they sell disney ticket , and we got 2 aldults for 3 day for about £100 , and 7 days or 14 days wouldn't make so much different in price. If i remmember it's rite, was about £100 each for 7 days and you got some extra free days as well ( maybe 7 days + 7 days free ). but everyone we asked in the bus going to Disney ( some are American) and they all paid alots more than we did. dont forget you need to pay $12 a day to park.
this adds upto a hefty bill.

therefore I suggest any one going to Orlando twice within a 12 month period to buy an annual premium pass for all the benefits of the above deal plus youget free parking and lots of other discounts.
of course you have to take into account the exchange rate{currently about $1.60 to the £1}
