Not really worth any more than £11 - I went last year for £9 and still felt ripped off! The food (and the hygiene) is vile, the rides are either closed or should be closed (the wooden ones give you splinters, they're filthy etc) and the staff try their best but ugh the place is a total dump and it's sad to see. I will never go back.

Such a shame to see the bad reviews, and to hear that the place isn’t being maintained as it should- I took my kids here over summers for a good 10 years. The planting was always lovely and all areas maintained when I was going there. To be fair, as this park caters for children from toddler age, I think the park expects people to bring their own packed lunches. We always did. Hence the lack of catering choices and availability, and the many picnicking areas provided. One of my kids was always little, so we had the pushchair anyway. I’d say that the Antelope is an old fashioned style wooden rollercoaster and getting slung about is what you’d expect, and they are bob on with safety, warnings, checking height etc. We always tried to get there early as they do close promptly. 5pm I think? Oh, and the entrance area will have people getting tall kids out of the pushchair to stand against the measuring point. Not fair if your kids are tall, as they’ll be tall enough that you had to pay, but actually too young to go on many rides, but hey, how else can they manage it? And it’ll be one summer that your little one loses out on a few rides, so who cares? We had such great times there, I do hope they spruce the place up. Good to know that the safety is still good, and like I said, the catering has never been up to much, as most people bring their own.

vicsmall

We went last year and it really is as bad as the Trip Advisor reviews. Yes they are cheaper tickets than usual, but I wouldn’t consider them good value from what I saw last year.

Wish I'd have been aware of this last week, just took my young 'un on Saturday to the Warrington one and thought it was alright myself. Was a lot bigger than I'd expected, didn't get chance to get round the full lot, mind you my son loved some of the rides so much he insisted on going on twice.

We love walking & the outdoors & at no point were we expecting rides. However we found most places to be unkept or dangerous broken parts. Also they have a touch, smell, feel area for younger kids. Our daughter wanted to try it all. The herb garden was just weeds, again with most parts broken or run down. The worst for us was when our daughter put her hand in a touch box (you can't see inside) saying feels like play dough. To my partners horror it was filled with bird poo. Not a small amount either, after we found most touch boxes were filled with it. My point simply being if you have younger children just beware staff do not seem to take care of areas. I'd understand if this was a free park, however it's not!

horsepills

We've been a couple of times, and our kids loved it. I suspect a lot of people go expecting it to be comparable to a theme park with loads of rides, etc... It's more suited to people who like the outdoors, with assault courses and trails, etc... Looking at all the video game deals you two post, I'm not surprised you found it "boring". Best stick to sitting on the couch playing PS4, eh?

Serialkillerz82

We visited here a few months ago. I'm sorry to say but not only is it boring but run down & dirty.

Conkers-the most boring place on earth made even more unbearable by the awful British weather.

Hassxn786

Couldn’t agree more. Went last week with a group of friends to find out some of the attractions (rides) were closed for maintenance which I was disappointed by. So if anyone is going, make sure that the rides and everything are open. Also look 👀 out for the weather

bringit

Agree as the current promotion is only for Access to the park over the next few weeks, whereas the buysgift one could be used to buy tickets for later in the year when it’s sunny and warm!

Hassxn786

DRAYTON MANOR currently has a promotion on if you would like to go direct via them: 4 tickets for £80 I think the posted deal is a better option as it is a cheaper alternative

Have you shown your one year old Son Goofy or Pluto? Not sure that's Disney's fault if you haven't shown your child certain characters... lol. It's a Disney park, not just Frozen... although you will be getting that in a few years time. So for now just Let it go ;) Perk for me though, one less stroller in the park not getting in everybody's way.

Not that great. Tickets valid until 15th April, discount applies to on door admission prices, £19.99. For 3 people will be £60 -20%= £48. If you pre book on internet, no discount, normal price £17 per person, so £51 for 3 people. I rather pay £3 extra on line and no discount and go during the summer. However, effort appreciated.

I loved this on the PlayStation back in the day and looked forward to a next-gen release. However, it seems they’ve struggled to do much with the graphics or gameplay, a bit bizarre really. Is it getting a digital release too? Will be worth holding off for a price cut from what I’ve seen of the Xbox version.

noahsdad

To be fair they have released at least 2 patch bug fixes for XB/PS/PC. And as an apology and appreciation of customers loyalty they made the recently released DLC Expansion pack free for 2 weeks. The reviews seem to suggest has been a good game on other formats, with the criticisms being bugs on release, controls and retro style GFX. There is every reason to believe the Switch version will be smoother and it sounds exciting with all the additional and new content. And the variety of control options including touch screen (which will apparently suit this game well) is why I am looking forward to it. I would agree with anyone that suggested above average buggy game releases that rely on the facility of being able to later patch them is annoying, should always just get it right (although most are happy to accept minor bugs) if fixed.

addyb

Game isnt good on other platforms. Terrible UI and it's extremely fiddly which really gets on your nerves in no time at all. Definitely one to avoid is this. Turkey.

lucifon

I am, but the devs seem slightly... Rough around the edges shall we say. The release date has been constantly pushed back and I believe the other versions had alot of issues. Hopefully it'll turn out well though.

No problems with your posts @otterboxer , I like free speech :). I don't think it looks a worthy game either (unless your an aviation enthusiast perhaps), I wouldn't even buy it physical for a tenner. Re the keywords, I always feel compelled to use the whole 10 but could not think or find any, random things like Sega or Atari certainly mix it up, what can I say.

My musings come when they come @noahsdad hence different posts. (all valid though) (y) The link does still seem to send me back here fwiw (not that i'd consider buying it, just wanted to have a look before voting) Ah, ublock was kicking me back my mistake.

It's called picking your battles and knowing when to be offended and when you shouldn't. I don't really fancy spending my entire life being shocked and offended by everything that doesn't tally up to my political and social ideals, so i choose to care about the ones which are actually affecting peoples lifes. "as a man i'm massively affected and upset by the fact that a woman on mothers day has been allowed entry to a £20 low grade theme park" - said noone, ever.

Common.Sense

Some people believe equality law should be obeyed. It seems you believe in discrimination.

thefunkygibbon

yawn, go get offended somewhere else. how do you get by in life? these sort of offers have been going on for years. why is it only now that a select few people are getting offended by things. I mean, sure, yes there are inequalities which are massively problematic in this world such as the ways we deal with anything sexual in society and law. but kicking up a fuss about a mother, on mothers day, having free entry of about £20 value, for something she is likely not to be actually going on many of the rides anyway, is frankly, stupid.

Common.Sense

It is not difficult to decide whether to give free entry to one sex alone is sexist!

joxeruk2000

The Matlock bath one is on a hill side and it really wears you down getting around it. Kids enjoyed it though.
