I loved this on the PlayStation back in the day and looked forward to a next-gen release. However, it seems they’ve struggled to do much with the graphics or gameplay, a bit bizarre really.

Is it getting a digital release too? Will be worth holding off for a price cut from what I’ve seen of the Xbox version.

To be fair they have released at least 2 patch bug fixes for XB/PS/PC. And as an apology and appreciation of customers loyalty they made the recently released DLC Expansion pack free for 2 weeks.

The reviews seem to suggest has been a good game on other formats, with the criticisms being bugs on release, controls and retro style GFX. There is every reason to believe the Switch version will be smoother and it sounds exciting with all the additional and new content. And the variety of control options including touch screen (which will apparently suit this game well) is why I am looking forward to it.

I would agree with anyone that suggested above average buggy game releases that rely on the facility of being able to later patch them is annoying, should always just get it right (although most are happy to accept minor bugs) if fixed.

I am, but the devs seem slightly... Rough around the edges shall we say. The release date has been constantly pushed back and I believe the other versions had alot of issues. Hopefully it'll turn out well though.

No problems with your posts @otterboxer , I like free speech :). I don't think it looks a worthy game either (unless your an aviation enthusiast perhaps), I wouldn't even buy it physical for a tenner. Re the keywords, I always feel compelled to use the whole 10 but could not think or find any, random things like Sega or Atari certainly mix it up, what can I say.

Badgers Hill Farm & Cidery.
This is a friendly place near Chilham in Kent. They make cider here. But it is an ideal free place to visit for their animal farm. This is open every day (and I mean including Saturday and Sunday). Your children can touch sheep or chickens (carefully!) There are some more usual animals. Reas, lamas. It is quite big to walk around. It should keep them occupied for hours! It is very informal. There is a small childrens play area. There is a cafe which is also open every day 10-5pm. It seems a bit run down, but it's really excellent. If your children have never seen real animals close up then I can thoroughly recommend it. Food in the cafe is not expensive. I had an enormous piece of real homemade coffee cake!
If you have time! visit Chilham, a very pretty village at the top of a nearby hill. See Chilham castle (from the outside free) There is a quality souvenir shop (not the usual junk) A nice cream tea cafe (but not open every day)

Is it busy outside of school holidays? I would go 3rd week of Jan so imagine most European kids are back to school by then.2. How many days do you need to see more or less everything in the park, go on all the major rides etc?3. Any recommendations for on-site or close-to-site accommodation?

January is usually the quietest time to go, except for weekends but it can be very cold and wet. I have just got back from there last night and recommend a hotel called Hipark. I would say 4 days would be enough to see everything and I would take as many snacks with you as you can carry because food and drinks are expensive
For a general idea of how busy the parks are during the year this link is a pretty good Indicator Clicky. It is in French but the key is in order.

We have just returned from a 2 day visit in the Black ‘avoid’ days, stupidly busy on 27th but still magical. We are going to return at a quieter time this year.

The app is great and gives you real time queuing times for all the rides while in the park.

1. Not nearly as busy as school holidays.
2. You could rush round everything in a day, but we would recommend a minimum of 2 days.
3. New York is very close, as is the Newport Bay(really nice hotel with a swimming pool), only a 5minute walk to the eateries, and 10minute to the parks.

As an aside the Star Wars night show is superb!

The parks are a bit tired nowadays but my girls (6&8) love it there, been to MK loads (local one) and stayed at Matlock in the new pirate themed rooms with clubcard points earlier in the summer which was excellent.
We rarely pay full price, they usually have 3 or 4 offers on over the season & you can sometimes buy cheap return tickets in the park
Edited by: "666" 11th Sep 2017
MK one is great for 6 years plus, a bit restrictive for younger ones and the more adventurous 12 year olds may find it a bit bland. But for the money, even full price, still pretty good value.
Theme parks on weekends is like water and oil, for me.
Was there last week at Matlock, a good day out but the place hasn't been modernised, it's like going back to the 80's. Could do with some serious investment. I paid the £19.95 on the door but £12.50 is about what I'd pay to go again.
Don't forget your inhaler if you go to the one in Matlock.....it can be hard work on those hills.
