Fabulous fabulous game, I would highly recommend this to anyone with children over about 8-9 up to adult gamers! It's basically a game that revolves around building using blocks like Minecraft, but guided along a story with normal resolution graphics, i.e. not everything is 'blocky' and you are following quests rather than the 'blank canvas' that Minecraft presents. Once you've completed all the lengthy missions - which are set around different islands with very different climates, monsters and scenery, then at the the very end you can move into a free-build mode where you can do more or less anything. If you've got the patience some people build fabulous structures and communities - have a look at the Youtube videos from BenXC and others to see what is possible and get a flavour of the game. The only small criticisms are that the battles eventually get a bit same-y, but only once you've mastered the techniques, and some of the unskippable text that reveals the story between scenes starts to drag a bit. I played DQB2 then afterwards DQB1 but it doesn't really matter which order you do them in. Sadly the Japanese mastermind behind the games has left the software house so I fear there may never be a DQB3, but I live in hope.
