These argos deals are nonsense, must only be like 3 in any store nationwide if there any at all. In fact in a lot of the cases they have games listed at multiple prices but only have it in stock at the highest price

I agree I use mine everyday. I even bought spare 3DS in case, maybe i got a bit carried away! Think i paid 20 pound for this game lol.

I imagine they just want to get rid of these as the 3ds's life cycle is over. That's not to say the console is obsolete, plenty of fun to be had for decades to come.

It's the Australian version that The Game Collection sell (I bought it from them a while back and the box art you are showing is also the Australian one). This won't be a problem though as Australian games work with UK consoles.

Heat OP - Finished up DQXI a few weeks back which was my first DQ game. Been looking for the 3DS games at a decent price but they are usually crazy money. Need to pick up VIII for decent price now and I'll be happy. Was sickened I missed out on it when Argos were flogging 3DS games a few months back but I managed to get Bravely Second Collectors edition for 6 euro that time so cant complain (y)

I'm ten-ish hours in and not having any trouble even avoiding a lot of the standard combat encounters. That said, if you need to grind you can literally set the game to auto mode and not need to intervene often as long as you aren't battling something way stronger than usual. The game can be set to a fast battle speed as well.

That's right, although if you want to build/make all the different blocks and items then you're going to have to complete most of the campaign I think

Yes but online multiplayer is crippled by host only privledges, visiting players cannot take anything back to their own save for example and it's only available on the main island where you have a base of sorts, story is single player only. For this price, it's still worth it. I double dipped on PS4 and Steam as I enjoyed it a lot.

Yes it does have sandbox mode and also supports online multiplayer but you'd need to progress in the campaign up to a certain part to unlock the features.

meh, The combat is mediocre and boring, not to mention the artificial limit that try to force you pad out the dungeon exploration. The dungeon itself is noting special, while each dungeon has a different theme, the overall dungeon feels like a randomly generated rooms connected together. the rest of the game is repetitive series of tasks and question choices over and over and over, which you pretty much have to reload if you answered wrong else you get nothing. Only thing i like is the art style,and characters

I quite like it not finshed yet as while I like it ,it can be abit slow moving however good price and that. Ni no kuni 1/2 is quite fun also.

Didnt play DQ8 on mobile as i think it was lacking features compared to 3DS version such as voice acting, but the core gameplay definitely looked the part

How does TWEWY play on mobile? I cannot finish it on 3ds.

Draconian difficulty modifiers can add a lot of challenge to the game. But in the base game? Pretty much what UnknownCollector said.

Depends which half of the game your playing. Second half is a little more difficult and the true ending boss can be a little challenging if you're not level 99. But overall no isnt hardest JRPG in the world. Still an amazing game though!

Bought for the PS4 on day of release and played for over 100h. Whilst now OOS, wouldn’t hesitate buying at full price as it’s an incredible JRPG.

Back up above £15 now 😪 was looking forward to adding another game to my unopened collection.

I enjoyed it, not quite as much as the first one but still a solid game. Dynasty warriors meets dragon quest. Silly cartoon graphics and monsters with some magic thrown in

Not performance though, unfortunately. Original game had much more stable performance, probably due to the smaller scale world design.

Also agree. Forget the story, wo buy this kind of game is for the construction capacities. The second one offers x1000 more than in this one. I don't understand who would buy this one. Only for collectors who don't have it yet.

The mechanics yes, the story? Personally I think 1's was better.

I really liked this game,but I can only recommend you buy Builders 2. Better game in every way.
