Smoking hot. Reserved one. Thanks op

kyeung

One of my all time favorite JRPG and believe this is the cheapest it has been. Hot from me. Who said 3DS is a dead console, still plenty of great games.

MrsNox

Dragon Quest is the perfect turn based RPG. Love it! (cheeky)

rivellangel

Great price for a great game. If you played the PS2 or android version and liked it, this is even better. You can see the enemies rather than blindly running around (great for farming metal slimes) and you get access to 2 new heroes as the game goes along.

I don’t believe I’ve seen this cheaper. Has been £25 on Amazon before, been waiting for it to drop again.
Yas

Great game. I was lucky enough to get this a while ago for £20, and DQ VII for £10 new! (on Amazon). Both games are quite similar, so get either for some quality old school RPG fun.

Felicitous

I got it maybe a year ago when it was around 25, the 3ds version is a huge improvement on the original, new characters being the main feature, being able to see monsters instead of random encounters helps with the end game grind fantastically, I partley wish they would re-release this on switch so I could play on a bigger screen

Stefarno88

Same price at Argos if that's useful to anyone. I'd recommend getting it now as I imagine the price will go up around the release of DQ XI.

Remember when pre order bonuses used to be some nice physical item or something thats extends your game. Now they just copy paste few pixels which can be obtained in game and call it a bonus. A joke.

The turn based combat system, I don't have the patience for this anymore. And the script is always dull in the Dragon Quest series.

I only played this on ps4 and it's fairly long game. It's fun with camra issues though. Tbh I couldn't be asked to finish after putting 80 hours into it lol. Very much wish could have stayed interested in it and still fully recommend

Portal Knights better cooperatively, Dragon Quest Builders solo.

Looks like a decent price.

Back in stock.

ChrisIW

Thanks for that. Yeah I think I'll give Portal Knights a miss based on that.

kos1c

Portal knights is bland. It tries to be many things and fails at most. The combat and RPG elements are nice. A plus over Dragon Quest builders. I did enjoy leveling up and crafting new pieces of weapons and gear. But the whole "here you go, go explore, and work it out on your own." was a massive turn off. There's around 49+ levels you can explore and each one felt like the previous. Has a bunch of fetch quests, but as you tend to leave each world rather quickly, you do not really spend time building stuff on it, other than crafting tables. Very rinse and repeat title. While Dragon Quest Builders only has 4 worlds, but it has small missions to do, and one main base you need to build and protect through each world. It came across as a better experience as I did complete the title in the 40+ hours I played on it. While Portal Knights I did around 12 hours and sold off before I got too far into it.

ptr362

I played Portal Knights very briefly and was turned off by the fact that it felt like a very unpolished game that was aesthetically similar to Dragon Quest Builders. I would definitely recommend Dragon Quest Builders, but there is a demo available if you're not too sure.

BridgeSalesman

Good price, though you can get it for £25 at GAME if you also purchase £15+ of eshop credit at the same time (if you have a use for that).

Trogador

I think I'm still in writing-down-2017-even-though-it's-2018 mode (popcorn) Regardless down to a tenner after about year is still qutie surprising, especially with Japanese titles which tend to hold their value a lot more

Noxia

Absolutely love how the game looks, just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried. That said, I'd be more than happy to have another go should this drop down to £20 ish on Switch.

Curlybobs

In my experience the only benefit of Amazon over Base is that when things go wrong, Amazon start spitting £5 credits at you. Amazon totally messed up my Fire Emblem Warriors pre-order, but I got so many vouchers that when the game finally turned up it only cost me about £25. Generally I've had very good experiences from both companies.

Aeschylus

Why are Amazon giving £10 of orders today? Because yet again they got voted best for customer service... Base never win that. That is all I am getting at. No conspiracy here

Illusionary

Base are consistently excellent, and can get pre-orders delivered early whereas Amazon are typically a day late - I'm not sure what your comment about "no contest really between the two companies" is trying to get at.

Aeschylus

Base are 14p cheaper, and not that they are bad, but obviously Amazon CS is miles better, so for 14p and if you are a prime customer there is no contest, obviously if you are not a prime customer then base is still the way to go
