    Love the film with its flaws, but it just has an atmosphere that grips me and really works. People can hate it but obviously makes no difference to my opinion. Watch it and decide, that's life. Will need to read up on reviews regarding the transfer etc before splashing.

    Reviews seem consistent that the picture is much better, its the sound that seems to have split opinion.

    Some of the cut footage (including a naked Sam Neill covered in blood crawling around the ship) is available online, but it's quite degraded. Sadly a lot was lost. The film makes a bit more sense with the missing bits as I've always thought it feels unfinished, or badly cut. They cut loads after test audiences turned green and the studio, who didn't get involved until late in devolpment, thinking they were making a Sci fi film, went mental. Apparently they used porn actors for the other side scenes. They were clearly on a mission to disturb.

    One of the greatest horror movies.

    Too bad the crazy cut got binned I believe or lost on a tape.
    Like deleted scenes and 20 seconds of disturbing stuff we haven't seen.

    never liked this film,

    Sam Neill carried it and kept you in your seat in the hope for a good ending,

    spoiler, the real horror is you're much closer to death after watching this.

    Mine came today, opened and everything is as described, the patch, map and pin (in sperate sleeve), and steel book with sleeve (in English).
