I've been looking at the regular Fox Proframe helmet for a while but couldn't justify the price for the type of cycling I do. Stumbled across this Proframe RS (the newer version) for a cheaper price than most sites sell the regular version.

I actually tried to price match it on another site and they refused, saying it was too cheap.

They have 2 versions of the Proframe RS on their site. The other is £214.99. So I was a little worried that it was a mistake. But it arrived today. It looks like there are just a few differences with logo etc between this and the £214.99 version. I assume it's just a different season.

Yup. As I say, I don't need it for the kind of cycling I do. I'm not doing jumps, or crazy down hill stuff. But I just went out for a 2 hour ride in the countryside and it felt great.

Gave me a bit more confidence going downhill at speed too. Not sure if that's a good thing though.

Nice hat, if it fits. I went with the IXS Trigger for a similar price as it has the twiddly knob to get a good fit. I wouldn't ride open face at all any more as the latest ff are so light and cool.

This RS model has a twisty knob to get a good fit (original didn't). It also comes with spare cheek pads in case the original ones are too big.

It was actually the IXS Trigger I was originally looking at for a few weeks. But I couldn't find one in black in my size for a reasonable price.

Good price! If Amazon, in their complete benevolence, hadn't just decided to give me a free Bell Super 3r mips, I would have been in!
