    Really tempted by this

Can you turn Bluetooth off on the venu? (edited)

Yes. I suggest that you spend a bit of time on the DC Rainmaker site. That would give you a good feel what each the Garmin watches are capable of.

This is a slightly older model now but still excellent and for this price, a real bargain.

It's a nice watch but be aware that this is Garmin's first generation amoled watch and the battery life isn't great compared to their led watches.

Have had this watch for around 3 years, first one developed screen burn outside of warranty, Garmin replaced it without a question!! Other than that it's a great watch and a steal at that price

You can't go wrong with a Venu. I see all these reviews for other watches but this one has GPS, on board music and battery life for over a week.

Very good price and a very good watch, have V2+ battery 6-7 days!

I've owned this for 4 months now and have been really pleased with it. The only slight gripe I have is that it can't display more than 2 data fields from Connect IQ apps in any one activity.

I have a Fenix 6, but I fancy something a little bit lighter as an alternative. Love to hear any feedback on this

I have the Venu 2, great watch and the battery life is insane, the main reason I didn't buy the original Venu.

The Venu2s battery is great, the data it captures is great.

I mainly use it for gym workouts, it tracks sets+reps, rest time, workout total (+active time). Also for indoor rowing sessions.

Indoor rowing with the Concept2, I broadcast my heart rate from Venu2s to the PM5 and ErgData retains the usual data plus heart rate of the session which is sick.

The other thing I've noticed about the heart rate monitor is that if I'm not breathing "well", taking full deep breaths during a workout, the watch doesn't tell the accurate heart rate (or maybe it is exactly accurate). Anyway not sure why some of my gym sessions I struggle to take in full breaths and its reflected by the watch, I feel like my heart rate is over 150 after a hard set but watch is showing 100 only. Something I need to look into.

Can you pay via the watch?
    dajoebomb's avatar
Yes although Garmin pay is a bit fussier with the banks. A work around is to get a free Curve card.
