    Poor battery life.
    You need a Samsung phone to use all features.
    And most important: you do not need it.

    I have the 5 pro... I compared them all in Currys before I bought one direct from Samsung... there isn't much difference size wize between the 5 44mm and the Pro, I'm used to watches that size having had a Gshock on my wrist for years.

    I'm really enjoying having it, the 3 day battery life is awesome, I usually leave it 2 days before charging and even then it hasn't gone below 50 per cent so far.

    If the only capabilities you're interested in are a timer, and music playback (use in the gym without a phone and otherwise not wear a watch), is this any good?

    I see it has a Soundcloud app, which is my primary music source, and Amazon Music / Spotify apps, and that you can download then listen to your playlists offline. Anyone use it for music playback?

    I use it (pro) for Amazon music when running without my phone and a workout tracking and it works well

    You can't use ECG and blood pressure but you can find a YouTube tutorial on how to get those features for any android phone if you want them

    How well do these work with Pixels and compare to the Pixel watch?

    I paid 279 for the Pixel (with LTE but I'll probably never use it) and am tempted to take advantage of their generous returns policy. Just not sure. But I feel kind of mugged especially as the Pixel feels like about £100 worth of SmartWatch, it's typical WearOS: slow. Mind, this is WearOS too. Can you put Google Pay and Fitbit on it? (edited)

    Got the pixel 7 pro when it was released and got the pixel watch with it free, already had the galaxy watch 4. Tried the pixel watch for about a week then returned to the galaxy watch 4. Samsung watch is miles ahead. Google pay is on galaxy watch, don't know about Fitbit as I use Samsung health which integrates well with the pixel phone. Only downside of galaxy watch for me is that I can't connect a chest strap HR monitor.

    Just received mine.
    Battery completely discharged (which on searching online seems to be common for Samsung watches).
    Manufacture date July 2022.

    With a long-term deeply discharged Li-ion battery you have to worry that its capacity / life span will have been reduced.
