Can anyone advise. Is it worth getting the pixel 7 now With the pixel 8 about to be released. Will this make the pixel 7 even cheaper than it is now on sale?
    nigelwill's avatar
I would wait for the 8 and 8 Pro, upgraded cameras and Tensor 3 which is likely to bring some performance and battery life gains. However there are rumours of a price hike, 799 Euro for 8 and 1,099 for the 8 Pro

    9to5google.com/202…ak/

It's likely the 7 and 7 Pro will go down in price, but probably not that much.

Can you code stack Unidays and Google One 10% discounts?
    quake.ee's avatar
Student discount replaces 20% store discount.
  3. Whatsleft's avatar
If its 25th anniversary, so give 25% off
    cmpaterson's avatar
    Couldn't agree more.

I just cannot wait until the Fold is £500 next year on Giffgaff lol.

To get the 10% future purchase Store credit, don't forget you can pay for Google One 2TB membership out of your Google Play Balance which can be earned through Google Rewards (was Google Opinion).
    UnbearableBob's avatar
I received 3 months free Google One 2TB as a Play Points reward which I activated & cancelled immediately to prevent auto-renewal. I've got it until November 25th, do you know if the 10% would only be valid until then? I assume once you're not subscribed then it wouldn't be applicable.

Wow. Super disappointed. Not only are there no Pixel Pro 7's with 256GB in stock but they've hugely reduced the trade-in value of the Pixel 5 (my current phone). What the actual hell are they playing at???!!!! 😡😡😡

    Last Dec, P7 cost me £539 - Trade in £245 (iPhone XR 64GB) = £294. + £100 Google credit.
What are your thoughts and the phone experts on buying a P7 Pro? TIA.

Now P7 Pro worked out as :
    £539.20 with Credit (£140) - £360 for P7 Trade in = £179.20

I didn't like the P7 battery compared to the Moto Edge I was using prior to P7. (edited)

For £179 I'd say a good upgrade mate

This deal is naff. Noticed they have stopped allowing the use of discount codes on sale items. Ps anyone can sign up to discounts for teachers or perks at work and get 10% off at any time.
    blaabla's avatar
Yup I added 10% code and it made the price go up by £130 on a pixel 7 pro
  9. deanlfc's avatar
I have the tablet and think it's great but this is still just too much compared to the US price which at full price I think is a decent price. I got mine for £479 with a Pixel Superfans discount, presumably this will stick around as the new actual price for a bit because the original one is ridiculously inflated. (edited)
    cmpaterson's avatar
I do think £400-450 is probably about right (considering the base is included but arguably that alone is not worth the RRP).
  10. jonnybonbon's avatar
I don't get this promo.. They built it up with fanfare and an rsvp sign up, other countries got 25% discounts and now the countdown has ended early and there is no mention of the anniversary discounts just a few random discounts which is nothing special. No email from them or anything... I feel like I'm missing something! (edited)
    heavywater's avatar
It's Google, the UK almost always ends up getting rough deals compared to elsewhere.
  11. C0mbat's avatar
We're getting so shafted on the tablet price. Surely they're hardly selling any of them in the UK? I bought three pixel phones for me and family members from Google to get the 10% store credit on the assumption I'd use it on the tablet but I can't bring myself to pay that much.
    Mdiz's avatar
Yeah it is 50% more in the UK Vs US. Even with sales tax it is still a major rip off here
  12. cmpaterson's avatar
Just spoken to support agent...this is the 25th Anniversary deal. No formal notification received as yet but he sent me a link to the T&C's.

Save 10% on Pixel Tablet. Starts 12/09/2023 at 00:00 BST and ends 12/09/2023 at 23:59 BST. Subject to availability. Available only if the user is 18 or older and provides a delivery address in the UK. Unless otherwise allowed, this offer cannot be combined with other offers. Purchase must be made on Google Store UK. Offer is non-transferable and not valid for cash or cash equivalent. Delivery charges may apply at checkout. Void where prohibited

If you're holding on for a better discount there won't be one here. Really disappointed we didn't get the 25% as elsewhere.
  13. garymcc1990's avatar
Seems to be more than a few of us in the same boat regarding the tablet. I'm interested in it but refused to drop £500+ on it... Ideally they will have some sort of offer on pixel 8 + tablet in a few weeks but I doubt it.
    nigelwill's avatar
    Agree, they're asking £600 for a £300 tablet.
  14. AstalaVista's avatar
Disappointing 25th anniversary discounts!...........wait for the 50th anniversary for greater discounts
  15. nigelwill's avatar
A bit disappointed with this, had an email from Google last week about 25th anniversary and the Pixel Superfans and it's less than previous offers.

I'll wait till the 4th and wait for the 8 and 8 Pro, then moan that they've hiked prices to Samsung and Apple territory.
    richpriest's avatar
Just got one for the superfans, an extra 5% off. A bit disappointed to say the least.
  16. jimlad21's avatar
Nothing great price wise. With only 3 weeks until the new pixel event I can't see many biting on what's on offer
    TwoJs's avatar
Thinking the same, you would of thought a bigger percentage would be on offer to shift stock, before the Pixel 8 and Watch 2 get released.
  17. Shane_F's avatar
You won't get anything from the trade in as they simply return your phone saying the screen is broken!! Both my wife and I traded our phones in and both were returned saying faulty screen. Both our phones had been in a 360 phone case from day one and were in mint condition
    ceepan's avatar
I have traded in 3 phones and was given the value I was quoted on all of them.
  18. cmpaterson's avatar
Thanks OP. Had the tablet in my basket awaiting the possible discount tomorrow and have gone for it at 10% off. Presume that's it then and definitely no 25% off across the site as other regions in the recent sales...?

Think that's it, this wasn't meant to start until midnight tonight, so if they reduce it again, it'll be a surprise
  19. jazzuk777's avatar
not an impressive range - a not especially great price for the 6a given its age, and no discount on the 7a at all. Lame promo.
    MrSwitch's avatar

£50 discount on the 7a tbf, but still not an amazing price on that one, which is why i haven't mentioned it
  20. maniac618's avatar
    It's 25% for Pixel Fans members. 20% + 5%
    Unique codes via email. (edited)
    TMelt's avatar
Any idea if it's possible to still sign up and get the code?
  21. James_1po's avatar
Just received an email from google with "official" early access to the sale as a superfan with what looks like a unique 5% off code, stackable with other offers
    cmpaterson's avatar
A shame as already ordered tablet, case and screen protector and it's been dispatched. That said no sign of a code yet...
  22. nik1's avatar
Really poor offering from G. An extra 5% or more for everyone to match at least their years wouldn't have been too much to give away. Especially, after all the billions loyal customers have helped them to make!
  23. aks4ever's avatar
Google are really rubbish with sales....
    TwoJs's avatar
    It's bordering on disrespectful
  24. DrunkOnRedWine's avatar
So Google is having a party and offering 20% off selected devices to spoil Apple's iPhone 15 launch.

Dismal effort - as an example the Pixel 7 is on at RRP of 599 so with 20% off £479. You can but this cheaper virtually everywhere.

Google go away and have the party on your own (edited)
  25. TwoJs's avatar
I was expecting 25% off everything that naturally made sense, how tight are Google.
The Pixel tablet is overpriced as it is. (edited)
  26. Niz's avatar
Tablet isn't as great as I hoped, maybe I expected too much, the google home functions are not different to my phone, I was hoping the cameras would pop up on the display but it just gets the same notifications that require interaction. Screen quality isn't great either but I suppose with it being always on. If it was priced at £400 to begin with and bought on discount to £350 and lower it wouldn't be so bad.
  27. phantompti's avatar
3x Nest Wifi Pro is on for £303.99, doesn't show on the Offers page, but view the product page itself.

Don't forgot the Pixel 8 and Watch 2 launch 4th October, usually with good launch deals!

  31. aidan_brennan's avatar
    Just bought the 6a, thanks
  32. JLH86's avatar
I would love the pixel tablet but £500 is a lot to ask for
  33. deleted2956526's avatar
The deals are a bit tbh.
The Pixel 7a was £399 a few weeks ago, they bumped it back to £449 and dropped again to £399 today and called it a birthday deal.
I thought I would wait for the birthday deals, but now my trade-in is £5 less today . So less of a deal for me...

Does anyone have a spare 5% code 🙏
  34. AJtheCabbage's avatar
Surely for 25 years they should have had... 25% off. Come on, Google!
  35. wakkaday's avatar
You can't trade in pixel 7a? Also if I get google
One how long does it take for the 10% to be added I did it last time
    And cancelled after 30
    Days and it wasn't applied
    MrSwitch's avatar
    Author
If you can trade in a 7a, it's because it's too new I guess, and yeah, maybe keep the 2TB plan a bit longer this time?
  36. Florencethedog's avatar
I was tempted by the Pixel tablet, great concept but the pricing vs USD was too jarring. I opted for a used iPad mini 6 from Ebay instead. Wifi+5G for £379 and was in as new condition. I may move to a Pixel tablet if the price drops further as the OS is much better than iOS.
    richpriest's avatar
It's the fact the base is a paperweight once you remove the tablet that put me off. Why it's not an assistant (yes, I know the tablet is the assistant when docked) or even a Bluetooth speaker seems to have a few tricks missed.
  37. rawkinrich's avatar
I'm interested in the tablet but not at that price, even with 10% off!
  38. Msx98's avatar
Question:shall I upgrade to the 2tb and hope for 10% off the 8 as well as hoping it can be stacked with unidays etc.??
    TheOak's avatar
Why not just wait until the 8 is out then upgrade if needed
  39. Mdiz's avatar
I see the 10% store credit back as per normal with Google One.

I'm not being offered 10% extra off though, I am a 2TB subscriber
    oidarwazeh's avatar
For me it says 10% back in credit with Google One 2TB sub. So that's probably what you get.

Off topic but I'm looking for a smallish preferably 10 inch or smaller windows tablet. Never owned one so no idea what to look for. Surface has so many genres & models I get confused
    Flyer01's avatar
You're on an Android thread, you're so far off topic most will simply ignore. Your size requirement rules out Surface Pro tablets, so type Surface Go/Go 2/Go 3 into this app's search bar. Read the comments to get an idea what experienced folk think of them, maybe even ask and wait for responses if you aren't in a rush.
