The only problem I had with this watch I cannot receive WhatsApp calls. I just get notification of the missed WhatsApp call. Everything else works fine.

Had this for a couple of years. If you use it as a normal watch it lasts almost 2 weeks..tho if using it regularly for health tracking the battery holds up for just over a week. Can track your walking/running tho it can embarrass you when it tells how far you go in a very loud robotic voice . The Huawei health app is ok tho since the last update there's a few minor niggles. It can even answer calls when connected to your phone and the quality is ok but not brilliant. It's no Apple or Samsung watch but for what I use it for it does me perfectly
    Razi's avatar
Battery lasts "just" one week with all sensors on? Try the overpriced Apple/ Samsung watches. Battery lasts only few hours on them. At least a decade behind in battery technology, hence the ban on Huawei.
And those robotic voices can be disabled in settings. (edited)

I've had this since last Thursday and mostly all good. The Huawei account setup is a bit flaky. Couldn't use the Honor health app with this watch.

You have to use the Huawei Health one.

used to own this...replaced twice under warranty as gps chip kept getting fried

    was good whilst it worked...

buyer beware though...honor gave up all support for this watch in mid 2021...

so no more firmware updates....and certainly no chance of getting the new huawei os that the GT watch was being updated to

price is very good however given the watch features and battery life
    RebTheRebel's avatar
Actually I had a firmware update on it in January. Had mine about two years. Absolutely not updated like the Huawei watch, but I did get an update recently. The one before that was probably a year ago.

Is the watch still receiving software updates? Also can you upload music to it without needing your phone with you to listen to it?
    deleted531767's avatar
I had a firmware update when I got my watch last week. But not sure when the last update is from.

2 of the 4GB of watch storage is for music, so you can upload from your phone and listen without needing your phone.

The watch connected to my Sony NC headphones without a problem.

A great health tracker. Anything else like paying, WhatsApp and music app related then forget it.

Biggest problem with mine is how long it takes to pick up GPS. Sometimes instant, sometimes take 3 or 4 tries over 15 mins. All with no trees and wide open sky. Battery life is exceptional though (mine easily last 7-10 days even using GPS a few days). It's excellent value for the money still.

It does pair, I’m using iPhone 8. Some things must be missing like the watch face choices in the Huawei health app but still loads of features and watch has built in watch faces anyway. Mine arrived yesterday and for £60 it’s a bargain. Thinking of buying another one.
    RebTheRebel's avatar
There are hundreds of watch faces for this watch in the app, a couple hundred are completely free. I'm surprised they aren't in the iPhone version, but they do exist if you have an Android phone. Shame you can't see them as once they are on there the watch itself can store about 30 different faces at a time. Might be worth syncing it to an Android phone, download the faces you want then sync it back to your iPhone. I'm pretty sure the faces will remain as they are stored on the watch itself.
  13. RebTheRebel's avatar
For anyone buying this, I'd highly recommend buying one of the fibre glass watch face screen protectors on eBay for around £3. Whilst the actual face is scratch resistant, I've nicked mine several times at work over the years and for £3 the screen protector has taken the scratches which I'd sooner have. There's two clear scratches on my screen protector that came from a sharp mental cage that caught it, other than that they are very hardy. Might not have scratched my actual watch face, but not worth the risk when these things are only £3

And for anyone wondering, had mine two years. Battery is as good (or appears to be) as the day I got it. Can charge from zero percent to full in just over an hour and lasts on average around 10 days. (edited)

Good advice, I ordered this and have added them to my watch. Fit perfectly... (edited)

Anyone here used the calling function (answer or make) via bluetooth headphones paired to the watch ? Does it work ? Better than having your conversation played out on watch loudspeaker. Thanks.
    OptimusPrimeval's avatar
    Yes, it works perfectly.

Has this 3 years got it with an Honor Laptop. Still use it daily.

Fantastic bit of kit with everything you need for fitness and sleep tracking.

Maybe not as flashy as apple et al but how many additional features would you use. (edited)

Had this watch for a few years and it's absolutely outstanding. The Health app is also well laid out in my opinion. I mistakingly sold this because I got a Galaxy Watch 4 free. What a bad mistake. The battery life on the Samsung is embarrassing. Wish I never got rid of the MagicWatch 2! (edited)

huawei health on android is working well for me, version 13.1.2.320
I "sideloaded" it using aptoide, which is probably not secure...but it basically fixed a broken watch, by allowing strava and export of GPX (recorded GPS tracks), which were important missing features for me.
