Absolutely brilliant speakers, which are less than half price at the moment. All three colors in stock. Perhaps even more impressively, the flagship L100's are also available for £1,999 and they are normally over £4k. I have the much smaller L52's in my living room with the orange grille and they look and sound great but if I had the room, I'd be picking up these.

Kudos to you! Well O/P ..... These JBL's (L100's) history go back to the 70's and they were such "Marmite " because of the fact JBL were considered "American Sounding" generally by the HiFi press back in the day and the snobishness. I have to say I was during those days a fledgling audio nut and easily swayed. ... the speakers recommended were the Quads Electorstatic, Kef, Celestion, Gales, Spendor, IMF's etc with Naims the amplifiers of choice.
Traditional "British Sound" with less of the treble brashness aka KLH, Klipsch, JBL etc.
Being now of the Harman stable ... I heard the L100's in 2020 at a HI-Fi show and they were so bloody impressive driven by Mark Levinsons also aligned to Harman.
If these are indeed available at these prices ... have to say the L100's (New modern day drivers) are a steal. The Klipsch Heresy 4's being a direct competitor. but not sure of the pricing of those.
Cost of living crisis I suspect. Great spot O/P. Excellent find. I ended up with the Yamaha NS1000 which are fab to this day. Those berylium drivers so intoxicating above 12kHz. Joy!! (edited)

The text reads like you're 60+? Lucky you if still hearing flat at 8kHz let alone 12kHz.

Ironically, it means your 2020 audition will have sounded very British....

I’ve had these speakers since April and they are fantastic. Really deep well controlled bass. Will go lower than the Kef ls50’s which are great as well. Please note that they are big bookshelf’s.
The JBL L100’s are also on offer which are even bigger and we’re originally around £4K

I like the idea of these. The whole "analytical" thing is anathema to me, takes the joy out of music listening. These speakers could be an antidote to that.

I have the 705 Signature speakers and they are fatiguing with my setup, even though these are much cheaper it seems they might work a lot better for my room and setup. Very, very tempted!

long story short i'm finding things a bit harsh with some higher frequencies..especially noticeable with some vocals so i have been researching possible replacement speakers ...something that will do smooth top end but still detailed ..the warfdale lintons came up but having seen some in the flesh not sold on the looks
anyway...these likely to offer that ?...
also assuming like the lintons the recommended stand needs to be purchased ?

edit...yeah them some pretty fugly stands (edited)

You are better off with the Kef LS50 Meta speakers in my opinion. Absolutely incredibly sounding
