Gaming laptops are sweet like honey but your hands can get too sticky sometimes so I wont be getting new gaming laptop anytime soon. Steam Deck for me and maybe next rog handled who knows bro.

Keep it simple never go top end. £700 is the max anybody should pay for a gaming laptop. After that you are better of with a desk top, money wise and especially for performance.

I bought this a couple weeks back and found it no good - The screen is absolutely nauseating to me. Still haven’t worked out exactly what’s causing it but presumably something to do with its 165Hz screen - I bought it as an upgrade from the 120Hz model and that was fine.

If you are known to get sickness or are sensitive to this kind of stuff it’s worth keeping in mind.

I can never use laptop screens for gaming besides being to small the 1080p models always blur my vision and give me headaches. The 17" 1440p are better.

What's the manufacturer warrantee on these?
    KodaBear's avatar
12 months RTB. But you can buy an extended warranty, and/or upgrade to on site repairs in the Lenovo Vantage app. There’s a slip of paper in the box with a 10% discount for these upgrades if you want to opt for them.

Warranty starts from the date Very purchased from Lenovo. You can get it updated to the correct start date using the website below:

    Ordered for £800 via VeryPay.
Needed a machine for Diablo 4, sorted!
  6. fazzzzzz's avatar
Is it me or spec wise I'm not seeing anything comparable for 800? (edited)
    plewis00's avatar
For £800 it’s great value but you have to deal with Very and VeryPay, who are some of the worst for customer service in the UK. So that’s really the only downside, if the saving is worth the potential headache.

I'm looking for a gaming laptop, but I'm a bit out the loop. So I rely on the comments on here from all the usual people who are in the know on here. I have probably read every comment in every gaming laptop post in the last 4 months.

Given the lack of comments from the usual suspects, and the fact it still hasn't reached "hot" status. I assume this is not as good of a deal as it appears? (edited)
    plewis00's avatar
It’s a good deal in itself but you are dealing with Very who are one of the worst retailers in the UK for service and competence, like worse than Ebuyer, and that is impressive.

    Ordered for £800. Thanks!
    GOODSTUFF's avatar
how did you get it to £800 it doesn’t let me
  9. loverboy21's avatar
Has plewis00 has pointed out i would not buy from Very on credit just to many issues and if you do not need the credit option just wait there are always deals coming up from other retailers every week or so and some of those offer better credit options like up to 24 month iintrest free.
    Player-1's avatar
What is the issue with credit I bought fews things from Very on 3 month payment plan been fine
  10. Vegeta's avatar
    Delivered today

Let us know how it is
  11. shamus21's avatar
£800 you got to be joking.
    phda's avatar
Is this " You got to be joking" Good or Bad?
  12. Lil_ru19's avatar
Is it worth going for the 3070ti variant of this? The other difference is an 8gb video card Vs the 6gb listed here. It would be an extra £279. Thanks
    adam.yacub's avatar
I mean if you need the extra power then yeah, what would the total be
  13. Dandandandaman's avatar
Thanks all, back to the drawing board.

    Great laptop
    shamus21's avatar
    But for the price.
  15. Deedie's avatar
Right, now how do i block every gaming laptop deal on here for the next 6 months? so i dont see them
    fazzzzzz's avatar
Bet now that we've bitten, we'll see loads of better options pop up one after another
  16. fuzed's avatar
Returned my spare one - put a note on with pictures with how it turned and refund has been processed without issue - note that the delivery charge wasn't refunded - but not going to quibble over that when I got the other laptop for £800 plus postage.
  17. Dandandandaman's avatar
If I get this laptop but don't intend to ever use it for gaming am I just wasting my money. £800 is my max spend and Im looking for something that is quick, quiet and cool as possible even when I use it intensively for a long period. Should I ignore this one/other gaming laptops?
    Deedie's avatar
I'm no expert. But I wouldn't be buying one in your case.

    Would be pointless.
  18. GOODSTUFF's avatar
how do i get it for discounted price
    KodaBear's avatar
It’s a new customer discount for their credit account. (edited)

Anyone received it? Mine showing it was dispatched yesterday with yodel but still showing with sender on Yodel's tracking
    Deedie's avatar
    Mine due tomorrow
  21. fuzed's avatar
Mine was dispatched Sunday supposedly due for delivery today - with Yodel now, ordered two (1 by mistake without discount) so that will be going back.
    fuzed's avatar
Mine arrived yesterday - accidentally ordered two - one with the £200 discount and one without. Will be sending one back anyway, box had a hole in it, looks like its been kicked or something. Thanks yodel.
  22. stuartj's avatar
    It's now priced at £1399!

Yup, you missed it for £800.
  23. fazzzzzz's avatar
Anyone know how to get an invoice. The Lenovo thing requesting an invoice but I can't see it anywhere on very site.
    Deedie's avatar
    What "Lenovo thing"?
  24. emJayO's avatar
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried returning a laptop to Very?
    shamus21's avatar
It`s very slow takes about a month to get your money back and thats if you do not open it but once you break that manufactures seal you will be in for a lot of pain. (edited)
