Called Costco, they advised it’s an issue with their website. In store it’s £480 and they are looking into the issue with this not showing online correctly as it should be £480 online and in store. If you have bought at the higher price I would call the 0800 online purchases line and raise the issue as I would assume they would correct the price for you if already bought.

If you choose silver and go through to checkout it seems to want to take the advertised price of below £1600. (edited)

Just been back to the store where I purchased the laptop this morning at the £1679.98 amount

They agreed to new price which is great so saved £120 but whats really silly in my opinion is they had to refund the laptop and I had to pay again at the new £1559.98 instead of just refunding the £120

They also stated all Costco items have a 30 day price guarantee something I wasn't aware of so will deffo keep my eyes on it to see if its reduced any further

So if like me you paid the higher price get in contact for your refund

They always do that, although in store they should do it on the same transaction from my experience. Maybe it was something to do with the pricing error and how they had to address it.

In practice they’ll take things back months after you’ve bought them, so really you have a lot longer for a price guarantee
Ubfortunately some people really take the piss, returning stuff over and over as the price drops.

Seems to be that £360 off is for online only memberships whereas regular memberships get £480

Not sure as I have trade membership and it's showing as £360 off so seems like website error to me

I'm sort of being forced to switch to apple because these deals are good for the money in comparison to Windows laptops, which are complete rubbish at this range.

Hmm, my email said this should be £480 off 52278793-NPZwY.jpg

Bough this one today for £1,679.98. How are you getting £1,559.98

I got the 1tb version of the M2 last year for just short of £1600 so the £1559 sounds a touch high.

Sounds a great deal, where was that from? Can't seem to find much close to this atm

I feel like a customer in a alternate coffee shop, opposite a starbucks

the starbucks had a monopoly on the best coffee beans for a few years but now, those coffee beans are about to be availble to everyone else with the snaprdragon elite X

the hipsters in the starbucks, oblivious to this change of reality still talk about how, even with these beans, you "can't replicate the starbucks experience, its more than just a coffee"

waiting for the coffee, which costs half the price of a starbucks, the wait is almost as tantalising as the smell of the freshly ground coffee itself

    Purchased. Thanks OP.
Bargain and needed to spend some money instead of giving it to the taxman.

I bought the exact same laptop (apart from 1tb drive) for over £1000 more this time last year from costco (for an employee). This one is mine

I purchased M1 16” in November for £1299, 16gb , 512gb, 10 core cpu and 16gpu. Is it worth getting this instead for £260 more?

I am not an apple user, even though I bough one yesterday. According to reviews on YouTube there is quite a bit of leap between M1 and M2 pro and M2 pro apparently is the best chip to have right now on Macbooks.

Anyone had luck getting it at £1559.98 as I see it as £1679 and change ?

    Thanks

When the SSD fails on this, as it definitely will, is it easy to replace the SSD with another one as part of a basic repair?
    abeuk's avatar
No it isn't, why will it fail

    Hi Guys

A few questions if you don't mind:

    1. How long are you expecting to be receiving OS updates on Macbook pro M2 16"?
    2. How long security updates?
    3. What happens when you do not get these updates anymore? Will having an antivirus be enough?
