I wanted to post to add some useful details for checking the configuration of this (or other Lenovo) laptops. This unit is identified in Vantage as 16ARX8 and you can see a lot of useful details of this one by going to psref.lenovo.com/Pro…RX8

The psref site will also let you browse/search Lenovo devices and you can get a comparison of differnet laptops against each other. This includes confirming the TGP. Annoyingly, I didn't see the answer to the TB4 question, however.

I ordered the 4070 Intel version of this and if you add the warranty upgrade whilst buying you can upgrade to 3 years at home for about 65 quid, or at least I was able to. It will cost a lot more to do it after you have completed the purchase. Worth bearing in mind if ordering.

It 100pc does not have any thunderbolt at all btw. (edited)

Thanks for bringing attention to this. My personal experience of Lenovo’s warranty support at home (laptop screen shattered by ‘engineer’, spraying debris everywhere) means I wouldn’t pay for it again myself, but others may not be so unlucky. (edited)

Anyone no how quick lenovo are at delivering? Not a patient man and hate waiting for weeks

For mine it said 6-9 days... 7 days later it just says 05/2023.... So... I hope it's faster...

A very high spec, definitely warrants its price tag unlike other deals recently posted

32gb is getting a little silly though unless you're running a portable server

Quite a few games now run better with 32gb ram than 16

I'm sure lots of people buy gaming laptops (I have in the past). But to me, a laptop being portable loses it's purpose with gaming, as it needs to be plugged in to get decent performance. Eg, it's not really very portable if it needs to be plugged in, and you may as well get a much more powerful desktop for less money... (edited)

Just because you don't have a specific use case for it doesn't mean other people don't.

I travel a lot for work and stay in hotels. Taking a gaming laptop with me is fine. Taking a Desktop PC, Monitor, Keyboard, etc is not

Not voted. Good but for some people like me no Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 is a deal breaker in the "pro 5" series.

Agreed. If it had those, I would have snapped this up

For £20 more I'd get the Intel version personally.
