+ Super lightweight and can carry it around one handed with ease
+ Excellent speakers and screen
+ Very fast, can even do light gaming, and stays quiet unless under heavy load
+ Coming from a 15.6 inch laptop, 13 inch felt too small at first but once I got used to it, it's the perfect size.
- Screen is too dim, I use at 100% brightness all of the time and it's fine but then battery life is shortened
- Mine had a faulty keyboard on and off for the first year, where keys wouldn't input unless I held them down for like 1-2 seconds. pretty sure it was related to the USB-C charging port. I stopped using that port and it hasn't happened for a while.
- Battery life is not the best, I get around 3-4 hours of web browsing (probably due to screen requiring 100% brightness), I lowered screen resolution to 1200p and it's a lot better, around 5-6 hours
What sort of condition, should I expect for a refurb from this retailer? Open box? Scratched and scuffed?
I don't game, probably just email, browse and a bit of admin. I'm currently using an old 2012 Intel i5 3317U with 8GB ram on Windows 10, 480GB SSD, which works fine but due a replacement. (edited)
I thought it was a much better deal comparing its brand new with pretty much every part higher spec
For this spec I think it's a very good price. 1920x1200 in 13" is a respectable and useable display. Even if the RAM isn't removable, 16GB is a solid amount and enough for creative work, even.
