Richer sounds do depreciate but only if they can't repair it.
During year One – full value
During year 2 – Original retail less 20%
During year 3 – Original retail less 30%
During year 4 – Original retail less 40%
During year 5 – Original retail less 50%
During year 6 - Original retail less 60%
Whilst richer sounds do publish their scale, other retailers can do the same, as it's upto the retailer to decide what is fair wear and tear depreciation. (edited)
1st point. - Having seen 4k UHD movies played on both OLED and QLED there really isnt such a thing as poor image quality anymore. Samsung have created a new tech QD-OLED which isnt OLED. as it beats OLED for Nit brightness and therefore specular highlights.
2nd Point. - Oled really doesnt work in Bright rooms with natural light coming in through windows, the inherent glossy finish reflects and the lack of brightness cant over come it. And Currys Platinum partner is LG not Samsung (more floor space and keen sales techniques to push LG, LG commission is more than Samsung as well FYI.
Its because Costco is membership only. They buy in bulk so the prices are lower. (edited)
Unless you're in a very bright room, in which case QLED would be more suitable, this would be perfect for movies.
77" LG C1
65" LG C9
65" (no baby gate)
55" Samsung KS7000

Samsung QLED. HDMI 2.1 4k 120hz
LG OLED. 4k 60hz or 1080p 120hz
Depends if you need next gen gaming feature or not.
No. The A1 has no VRR
The B1 does 40-120hz
The C1 does 20-120hz (low frame rate compensation) (edited)
The C1 won't get near this. It's 2 ranges up and still extremely popular size.
£780 is best price right now. Doubt it will go below £750, £699 at the lowest.
The CX is available for £699 but only 12 month warranty

Probably my explanation not being very good...
55 inch A1 OLED £649
Gourmia Air Fryer £51.95 (Online Price)
Both items come to just over £700.
Spend over £700 at Costco between Thursday and Sunday and they give you back a £70 Costco Voucher as well
Edit: this is based on the OLED still being this price on the 2nd - which I've been told is unlikely and I didn't check the datw in the TV offer so apologies if that's the case (edited)
depends on your needs
as a pc monitor, 120 hz is great because it feels super smooth
very few console games run at 120 hz, and thats not changing anytime soon because the current push in gaming is raytracing- and nothing on pc is running ray tracing well
for film and tv 60 hz is fine in this case
technically films are 24 hz and 24 doesnt divide into 60 but does divide into 120 hz, so you should expect a 120 hz oled c1 to run movies better
however, OLED pixel response is so fast, any 24 hz content will look stuttery, and ironically (in this case) this 60 hz OLED panel isnt as fast as the c1s and that is probably better for film content.
tl/dr 60 hz is fine for most people unless you have a specific use case you need to address. I've seen one side by side with a c1, looks just as good.
60Hz instead of 120Hz
No HDMI 2.1 and slower processor.
If you are into gaming, then probably look elsewhere but for £500...
I picked a central stand up for about £14 from ebay and have the 48 A1 in one of the bedrooms.
The 32-50 inch seems to be sold out on ebay at the moment (maybe amazon etc would have) but the 42-70 inch is available for about £19.99:
ebay.co.uk/itm…OPY
I picked up this telly for £499.99 around the last black Friday from JL, using a Monese £400 voucher. TV stand has worked great for over six months - sturdy etc
Nothing to do with Curry's. It's an inherent limitation of the technology. Have seen a C1 and N95 side by side and the peak brightness limitation with HDR content isn't too difficult to see. The 870 nits quoted for the C1 here only applies to a portion, 10%, of the screen. Of course, when you run an OLED at such high peak brightness you endanger burnout of the diodes at some point - plenty of Reddit threads of people suffering this if you look around.
techradar.com/uk/…why
In this Rtings review, they comment that peak 100% window brightness of the LG C1 is only 130 nits:
rtings.com/tv/…led
Rtings have a very useful table of HDR brightness levels for a large selection of TVs, as you can see the top spots are all taken up by the QLEDs with sustained 100% window brightness levels >600 nits. Samsungs lead the way followed by QLED offerings from TCL and Hisense.

You can ask for refund of membership a couple of months later if you don't like it they refund you but you still keep the 12 months
I got the ikea besta for my set up (jz980) not a A1 but it's decent quality for the price and there's loads of options to match to your flooring etc.
My screen size is a 65 inch for size comparisons to the unit BTW.

Either way it's probably a great deal.
We've had a 55 inch LG Oled for four years as our main TV with no sign of screen burn. I believe these are the best TVs you can buy. We've just bought a 77 inch from Costco.
It's always a risk, the screens do wear out. But since 2019 it's pretty rare. It's not something I would worry about unless you plan to watch BBC news for 10 hours a day, everyday (edited)
As any spend over £700 on those dates and you qualify for £70 a costco voucher as posted on hukd by
Edit: this was based on OLED price being same from 2nd, which it sounds like it isn't, so apologies peepz (edited)
I believe the current Costco Oled offers finish today so whether you will save with the £70 voucher depends on tomorrow's prices.
Most of the chaos seems to be caused by the queue for the fuel station. Snakes round and backs into the roundabout, causing the traffic getting in and out of the car park. It's bonkers!
It was like that last weekend, when incidentally I went to take my 4.5 year old 55 B7 back there for a full refund due to burn in.
Also is there any way to revert the display of hukd on the website to how it was a few days ago? I don’t like how it’s now formatted!?

Replying to
I'm sure Liverpool fans would be needing one after the weekend
I only use mine on 50% brightness and it's in a bright room so its only those used to the cartoon picture of lcd that find it too realistic a picture for their liking.
Atleast he has a unit
I don’t shop there anymore as was disappointed it did not sell fridges. …. 🍺
So u just got tv and tv unit? No other furniture. I like your priorities
Lol I am sat on my corner sofa when I took that. What else furniture do you need,ha.
Entry-level OLED still looks better than mid-level LED when watching in darker settings. So this is perfect as a bedroom tv (I just wish I had the money!)
It's a lot of telly for £500! (Well, £499.99 ) (edited)
