picked up a couple of these for the kids at christmas. surprisingly good sound on these. one of the few i could find that has a USB input for music playback.

also has AUX line in.

    my kids dont have mobile phones...

    not all phones have an always on display. you can wake up and look at this without having to reach out and pick up a phone to check the time..

    most phones dont have a radio.

    batteries can run out... this is mains powered..

    plus this is a wireless charger for mobile phones.

    this has a better speaker than a phone.

    Picked up mine today. Was gonna save it for a gift, but got bored. I'm pretty impressed for a tenner. Speakers clear, wireless charging works fine. It's got a little pop up stand, but it's far too short for my phone, so I need to lay it flat. Radios got autos scan and memory presets. Uses a figure 8 cable, has a separate radio antenna.

    Alright, it's a bit old fashioned, but it's really clear and works well. It's only got 2 alarms, but you can see if they are active next to the time, which my phone doesn't do with its auto on display.

    Well happy.

    Im getting old.

    If you read the thread the OP mentions that he’s found the manual online which suggests it is 1Amp! HTH.

    Has anyone noticed it says 12:28 then the MHz is lit as well, which isn't needed for the clock function

    I bought one of those Naim Mu So speakers years ago and the sound quality of that was so good I stayed in bed listening to Radio Paradise lol.

    i noticed that before i bought mine. but theres only 5 reviews so not a huge sample to go on. its mainly dragged down by the one 1 star review which has no comment as to why. the negative ones seem mainly about the radio reception.


    currys give a 30 day return even if opened, as long as its all back in the original packaging..
