A fantastic mouse, that I honestly believe every gamer should try at some point. Total classic and for under £30 in the current climate... A very nice buy indeed.

Didn't this drop to about £20 within the last year? Also read reviews saying the buttons are prone to failure.

I've got the 502SE in white, £27.99 when I bought it. Logitech cheaped out on the switches so they're not the quality Omron ones you'd normally expect. I think they're cheap china manufactured ones rather than japanese, but can't confirm location. I can confirm that after just under 3 years of use my left click barely registers and my right click will double-click.

I've got some kailh gm4.0s to replace them with as I like the mouse, just need to set aside an afternoon of playing with the soldering iron to sort it all out. This is the first mouse I've had where left/right click have worn out first, usually middle click or the scroll wheel go for me. Honestly wish it had came with proper switches and cost me £8 more (price of a pair of aftermarket gm4.0s) and they can keep the crappy omrons. That aside, sensor is good and accurate, and it's my favourite of all the mice I've owned over the last decade or so (razer diamondback/copperhead, steelseries kana v2, corsair m65, logi 402+mx revolution, all mid-tier but "decent")

Most will buy it for gaming, but I'll buy it for the infinite scroll wheel.

I've had this mouse for 8 years now and it's been flawless.
The infinite scroll wheel is a godsend. Once you use it, you will never go back to a normal one.

Such a great mouse. Had the original around the release as well. The shape is so comfortable for me. Doesn't make me any better at games though

I have this mouse and it is amazing. I use it for work and gaming. The scroll is amazing, a little wobbly but that isn't an issue. Just wish the wireless version had Bluetooth built in as I would have bought that as an upgrade. Have gone for the mx2s instead to take to work, and keep this for home.

anyone know the lightest this mouse is vs the 402 and vs the wireless version?

Its a little heavier than the 402 but not by much, the wireless 502 is closer to the 402 weight.

I just had a look and my proteus spectrum (older model) was purchased in 2016 and still going strong! Great reliability. But I might just upgrade to HERO with this newer sensor and -60g.. would be rude not to for the price and then keep proteus as a spare... for the next decade (edited)
