This is only a couple of km from me. Be aware that the bypass for the village is used as an unofficial race track has a motorcycle cafe at the end of it. So if you are there at the weekend all you will hear is mid life crisis men racing up and down all day and evening.

Very nice if pricy pub just up the road in Burcot though - Chequers. They quite often have half price vouchers on the local radio voucher shop though. (edited)

Odd comment - I’m from this area myself and often stay in the hotels in this village and not ONCE have I heard any traffic; I always usually stay on a Friday and Saturday night too. The village is beyond peaceful! This hotel isn’t a stones throw from the bypass - it’s a considerable distance! Love how people who own motorbikes are also having a mid life crisis and also only men...!

    Ridiculous comment. (edited)

Can’t comment on the hotel, don’t know, but a very lovely village. Very small. Church very interesting.
    between Abingdon and Wallingford.
