sorted byThe way I spoke of it to someone is, if you think you might soon (upgrade) remember what it was like when you first got a DVD player. Overpaying on everything the same time as a really expensive player purchase because you wanted to make use of your new toy the second it arrived so you needed at least a couple of films.
When there are serious flash deals on the blu-ray + 4k combo version packs like this its worth it on some if the price is very low, even if the 4K are useless to you now.
That way you have the film+extras on blu-ray now for immediate use, and an instant 4K library for free to try out your new player when it arrives. No triple price increase because of grabbing discs at the same time.
There's always the counter argument that the price of 4K will lower and more will be available second hand. It's why its a balancing act. At £15-£18 on a £55 set, safe to call it second hand prices or less. (edited)
