sorted byWHY would anyone give out their phone number to someone they haven't met, just so that person can get the benefits of an upgrade that they did nothing to earn?
Just a thought. Get your own pay as you go sim card. Use it for 6 months. Then take advantage of the deals that pop up in the future.
OR do what everyone else does, and just accept that this is a deal for eligible sim cards only - so buy the phone at the normal pay as you go price instead.

I know, I'm a cheeky sod, but I did find and post the deal.
I'd be then grateful (very very) if you could post me the phone when you receive it. I would pay you a quid for your (sorry I can't give more, my Cat died and I had an unexpected Vet bill). But I would be grateful.
Sorry if I seem beggy, just depressed cos I lost Tiddles and a new phone might take away some of the heartache.
I spent the last 4 hours looking around the house for a eligible sim but when I finally found one, it was Asda Mobile.
Anyway, please can some kind hearted help me out. I'd be grateful of course (just not 'too' grateful).
Sorry about the long post I just re-read it and I seem to have missed some words out, but I've had 4 wines (due the the aforementioned cat).

No. You need to have a PAYG SIM on any of the networks below:
O2
Orange
T-Mobile
Virgin
Vodafone
Generally the SIM must have been in use for 6 months or more. It must have been topped up, and a chargeable event (such as a phone call) must have happened within 6 months.
To buy an upgrade you will need to provide the mobile number and SIM serial number (the number printed on the SIM) to quality.

Apple iPhones are the only phones which lock to the network of the first SIM used.
I have purchased phones many times from CPW, they have always been fully unlocked unless otherwise stated.
Similar specs on an Android = dog slow.
This is Windows Phone though....and as I have seen first hand, this phone is fluid and fast (aside from when installing apps). Side by side with my Lumia 1020, it was actually quicker at internet browsing...and nearly as quick when browsing MixRadio.
For £10, it has to be the best value smartphone ever released! You won't be disappointed with its performance....but the cameras are naff, and the screen isn't IPS, so viewing angles aren't brilliant.
Shame we can't vote your comment as cold.
This isn't a code from a magazine - it's the identification code used by your SIM and your mobile number. Those are not pieces of information you should be giving out to strangers.
Plus, it gets a bit tiresome how threads like this just turn into 15 pages of begging.
Mat: hi. i placed an order yesterday. confirmation email said 9.99. i had my despatch email. it says order total 14.99, can you confirm i was charged the correct price of 9.99 please?
Mat: *order number*

O...K. It has A-GPS and Glonass yet you say it's not very reliable? That's why it's been working brilliantly for me right? It's working better than my old Moto G which was reliable. Locks quicker and works faster than an old TomTom Go 500 of mine.
You can all safely ignore this idiots comments about the GPS not being reliable. It's very good and all for under a tenner for a fully working and accurate satnav and more.
Haha - my dad had the Galaxy Ace 2 (now has a Lumia 1020). Jeeees, that Ace was a truly awful phone.
I bought my mum the 435. It performs as well as my Lumia 1020. As long as you use an SD card, you will NEVER get one of those silly out of space warnings that plagued my dad's Ace 2. The screen is also nicer....oh, and it is far far superior in terms of smoothness of the OS.
With all that said, there is also the Lumia 640 at £79 or so which has a brilliant screen/v.good camera/excellent battery life and a more powerful processor. It is worth the extra - unless you are just after a v.v.usable phone without the need for the bigger/better screen. (The screen on the 435 is non-IPS, so the viewing angles aren't brilliant).

Not unless you say please.
So what does that make you, begging for other people's payg details? lolz
It's not possible, and you really wouldn't want to. Android would run like a snail on this phone.
Anyway I'm still expecting another 2 of these tomorrow. All those years of womanizing and changing my number every other week has paid off lol.
We ordered this and it has arrived before the phone which is on its way, so cannot comment on it fitted. Does seem fine for the money and the cut outs appear to be correct.

I don't think anyone is going to give away a free upgrade to someone that hasn't helped out the community.
I think you are asking about turning off mobile data usage? Swipe left from home screen > Settings > Mobile & SIM > toggle off Data Connection switch. The Data Roaming setting is just below it, but that relates to data usage if you roam networks. The first toggle is the one you need for all data off, just calls and texts on.

It asks you for your phone number during the order process to check if your are eligible. I think you need to have been with the phone company for 6 months or more, I can't remember precisely.
Take in a PAYG sim card in regular use that has had credit applied to it in last 6 months. They will check the Sim account to make sure it is in regular use, if so you get the upgrade price. Borrow a friends PAYG sim if you don't have one. Carphone warehouse phones are all SIM free and can be used on any network so doesn't matter what network PAYG sim you use for upgrade.
Not in my experience. I have never received any spam texts as a result of using this service.
Since this has 1GB RAM, you'll be able to play all games in the Windows Store (though not necessarily at the same high graphics of something like a Lumia 930!). You also get Xbox Smartglass, which is a pretty useful functionality extender for your Xbox.
I bought this phone for my mum at £25 in the last deal. It is a superb little phone....and competes very ably with my own Lumia 1020.
For this kind of money, there is simply nothing that competes on the market. It is fast, fluid, & nearly all apps can be saved to the SD card (unlike Android) - so there really are v.few shortcomings.
Okay then :(, this is getting vote cold by me.....
only jokin
I may be reading your comment wrong....however, you do realise that you can use the Office 365 licence on a tablet as well as a desktop/laptop?! Just log in to the Office login on your children's computer, then download Office 365...
(You can also buy cheap Office 365 Personal codes on Ebay for around £15-£20 each. Stack 4 years worth, then convert the whole lot to Office 365 Home for less than £80 all in. That will then give you a 5 user licence to share with whomever).
It is unlocked. It will work with ANY sim you throw at it.
If you buy this, you will get a new phone, and a new SIM with a new number, with no credit included. You can simply throw the new SIM away if you don't need it.
You will have to use your old SIM in the new phone if you want to use your existing number and existing credit. The 435 requires a Micro SIM though, so make sure your old SIM is the correct size.
You can obviously still use your old phone without any issues (although it will require a SIM to work).
because nobody gets the activation text code :-)
The activation code will appear on the website after you enter your mobile number.
People on eBay buying new ones for £50 - £55
So profit of £45 - £50 which you can use to buy a better spec phone?
Yet carphone warehouse sell them for £30.. I guess some people on eBay don't look around before they buy.. O.o
Try calling the CPW upgrades team on 0800 049 6248. They should be able to process the order if the SIM is definitely eligible for an upgrade.
