Details

Unlock speed, performance, and style with Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 5. Ultra-thin design combines with multi-tasking efficiency powered by a 12th gen Intel Core processor, a vibrant PixelSense touchscreen display, and long battery life.

With a large trackpad, a keyboard designed for exceptional typing comfort, and an almost invisible hinge that can be opened with one hand, get productive with a beautifully balanced and elegant laptop.

Intel Core i5
With an Intel Core i5 processor, you'll easily handle day-to-day tasks like word processing, image editing, web browsing and casual gaming.
The i5-1235U processor in this model features 12MB of cache and 10 cores that can adjust their speed depending on the complexity of the task they are working on, up to 4.4 GHz.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

A solid performer
Featuring 8GB of RAM, this computer has enough power for casual tasks like web browsing and word processing as well as more demanding jobs like complex spread sheets and image manipulation. You'll be able to run a healthy number of windows at once without any obvious lag or slowdown.

Fast mover
The 512GB solid state drive gives you capacity to store your documents and media, while ensuring fast and dependable access to your files and programs. SSDs are much faster than regular hard drives, and don't use moving parts to work, making them more reliable and quieter.

Stunning screen
Boasting a resolution of 2256 x 1504 (201ppi), photos, videos and documents appear bright and easy to read on the vibrant 13.5-inch PixelSense display with an interactive touchscreen.

Superior design
The keyboard is designed with optimised key travel and responsiveness for consistent typing comfort. The Surface laptop has a compact aluminium shell for lightweight strength.

Just in case anyone curious about the 8gb ram, the RAM in the Surface Laptop 5 is not user-upgradable.

I have a surface laptop and it is FANTASTIC. However I paid this 3 years ago and even mine has 8gb ram. It feels like it should have more by now.

However, it is super light, fast, and just generally great to use.

    I don't understand what justifies a £850 price tag. A laptop with an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM? That's low-mid range.

The battery is also hardly replaceable if I remember correctly. For this price it's a crappy deal really.

Pretty hi-res screen, lightweight, premium build quality and in theory good battery life.

OP only the first image is the Surface Laptop 5. The other images are all of a completely different laptop.

I’m glad you mentioned this, I was wondering when the surface laptop got the ability to flip over and be used like that. From what I recall the touchscreen element on the surface laptop is pretty useless

I get £951.75? Has the price hiked or am I doing something wrong?
