that monitor is too large for 1920 x 1080 (FHD). Pixel density is not good enough for that size.

Agree, certainly if you're using it for productivity/work purposes. You want 1440p really

    Good price though (edited)

This MSI deal is for a 27" screen so a Lenovo g24-20 is not a direct comparison on that measurement.

There is a recent expired HUKD post for it here - hotukdeals.com/dea…566 this was £129

    Using camelcamelcamel there is a £109 deal - uk.camelcamelcamel.com/pro…rch

They should bring back 1920x1200 resolution monitors - they were the best for productivity imo without everything getting ridiculously small. (edited)

Bring back 1080p monitors? Have they gone somewhere?

Not bad for 100 squid, but at this point just go 1440 (edited)

About the right specs for the price I guess

Has anyone come across any decent deals for a budget ultra wide monitor. For work purposes

If your monitor is 1920x1080 (16:9), a 16:9 movie will exactly fill your screen. If your monitor is 1920x1200 (16:10), you'll see a black horizontal bar running along the top and bottom. These black bars disturb some people, which I suspect is why some people prefer 16:9.
All comes down to your predominant usage i guess. (edited)

Or the MSI employee, responsible for the monitor sales in UK

Good price for a 27'' monitor

Why is this 850 degrees? Needs to be QHD to be hot.
    WALKONBY's avatar
Yes ... But I suspect it wouldn't be £99.00 if it was QHD

    How is this for gaming?
    Pájaro's avatar
I wouldn't. I used to have a 27" 1080p 144hz display, which I sent back because the pixel density at that res and size looks horrible. The 144hz part was really nice for gaming, but not nice enough to make up for the image quality. This doesn't even have the 144hz part, so, big miss.

Lenovo g24-20 is so much better value for only £10 more! (edited)
