I've not touched my PS4 Pro of Xbox one s
wasn't sure it was going to be worth the upgrade for him as he already as the wii u but it as surprised me on how much better it is

Have you ever seen it in the flesh? I used to think like you before I saw one at an event and I then regretted my grey preorder. The neon looks much better in real life than any of the stock photos. Personally I'm hoping for some dark purple joy cons to arrive *drool*
Seconded- I hated the look of the neon in all the pictures and ordered a grey Switch, but after seeing one in the flesh I regret being so boring. To this end, I've even bought neon coloured silicone grips- but it's just not the same...

I wasn't keen from pictures and then actually thought the colour looked worse in person, the red is too light for my liking. But when each joycon was split into an individual controller it suddenly made perfect sense to me. I ended up with that version and the colour has actually grown on me. Plus you can also buy different ones if you're gonna want more controllers. Its pretty cool to be able to totally change the look of the console without buying a new one. Kinda wanting the green/pink splatoon ones to put green/red on it
Imo it's the ugliest design of any games console.
I have no problem with purple gamecube, orange N65 etc but a grey console with mis match red and blue condolers attached to it? yuk
maybe appealing to a child under age of 10.
