About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
O2 20gb data, unlimited minutes and texts via Uswitch.
The deal has shifted from 15gb to 20gb of data for £8 with unlimited minutes and texts. Includes 3 months Disney channel - for me that reduces the monthly cost as we've got it already.
Remember Quidco / Topcashback for a potential further reduction. I'm still tempted by the £10 a month deal for 30gb with 6 months as per month that is reduced if you are paying for Disney anyway.
Long time watcher, first time poster. Be gentle.

sorted byYes, you can. I have always done that. Your contract will reset though and new 12 months contract will start. Just follow the uswitch link, login as existing customer and it will give you option to upgrade your current Deal (edited)
Just take another offer like this for £8 after price increase. so, you may pay 94p extra for a month, but you will get another 3 months free Disney + (edited)
I will wait for similar offer after price increase in April
I still see that option before final checkout. Did you sign in as existing customer?

Newly merged O2 and Virgin Media have launched a new product called Volt, allowing eligible customers to get their mobile data allowances doubled and their broadband speeds boosted to the next level at no extra charge. To get it, you need to have Virgin broadband and an O2 mobile contract.
and Free Pints and Greggs Treats every week
You can't. I'm in the same boat too. Contacted O2. They said I would have to pay for a fee for the early termination. They are highlighting the RPI increase every year was mentioned in the T&C.
Better to switch over to any deal after April.
Extras are
- Disney+ (remember there are the extra channels now - its not just Bedknobs and Broomsticks!)
- Prime Music Unlimited for 6 months
- Prime Video for 12 months
- Audible for 12 months
- International Bolt On
- Roaming bolt on
- Security Software (Mcafee)
- Online Newspaper / Magazine subscription (Cafeyn)
o2.co.uk/extras
Wait till after the 23 of March to get any deal with no RPI increase till next year
Just click on this link and login in on your O2 account, it will ask you to upgrade
Yep,
I just got my weekly ticket today. To be used the following Monday
And 6 months / 5 months if you're an existing subscriber Apple Music (or my mum was offered this via O2 Priority app when she just signed up on a £6 a month sim!)
Do you definitely get double data if you are VM customer with this deal? As it doesnt show the "offer included" on the O2 website like your 15gb you posted (edited)
ask o2 to add volt benefits; when they do then both services will double (no need for second call)
I got rejected in January for another O2 deal bc of credit check fail. This one is just not for you. Come back next month and try another similar O2 deal. I’ve seen many O2 deals actually it’s quite often so don’t worry.
The key is that both VM and O2 accounts need to be in exactly the same name and address. The upgrades normally should happen automatically, between 5 and 14 days after sign up seem to be the norm. Be prepared to chase one or the other if it doesn't happen.
There is an option under myo2 to apply for it. It has not automatically recognised that I have virgin broadband so had to call them
I didn't have to do anything other than sign up for the SIM, and my Virgin Media packaged was upgraded automatically after a few days.
I'm not missing the point at all. That price increase happens at a specific time each year, is specifically tied to RPI, and is clearly stated in the contract:
Each year, your tariff will be adjusted by the Retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation. This rate is announced in February and your bill will be adjusted by this amount in April.
So, it has nothing to do with the timing of when you took out the contract. You could take out a contract in March and it would be affected the next month. Or you could take out a contract in April and not be affected for another 12 months. I suggest you read the terms a little more carefully before proclaiming that people are "missing the point".
Just to note as well, many operators have a similar system. (edited)
I'm tempted to go for your deal then but been a Yorkshire man tempted to wait until after the price increase to see if they still offer this for £8
Yeah same but you missed it's actually 7.8% + their own like 3% increase..gonna be paying £9 a month now (edited)
They always tell you this over the phone or in the fine print. You might not be happy, but you are in the wrong for not spotting it.
A) don’t need to be rude
B) you don’t know how old I am
C) O2 is only 19 years old. Used to be BT Cellnet
You’re missing my point, within 3 months of a new contract is bad form. (edited)
But I didn't get much interest.
Thanks I just upgrade my contract to 20gb for 12 months new contract. It will take 24hrs to show on my O2 account.
yep, just obtain a pac code via text
yep, any o2 contract is eligible (edited)
Great service where I am. Like many carriers they have an annual price increase, this is spelled out clearly in the contract. You can get round that by taking another contract after April.
Tesco definitely aren't cheaper these days. (edited)
