What is the quality like off AE ? Getting the same phone as a UK version or an cheap rip off
    jaju123's avatar

Its the same lol. They don't make different quality versions

    Woah -- hot price!

Seems crazy cheap for a 8+gen1 phone, even if customs fees do get added

Wonder what these super fast 100, 150W chargings do with the battery, any overheating? (edited)

Looks like a bargain, but I just checked, and it does not have the alert slider..... the main reason I buy OnePlus phones. Still a great buy, but not for me.

    same here!

It's a good price but not great. I traded in my four year old model for this last year and paid £300ish from the UK store. I like the handset but it's distinctly average, nothing special about it at all! (Newer models resurrected the slider)

Has someone returned their OnePlus phones back to China?

Do you still need to pay import duties if it's more than 135 pounds? Or is that a thing of the past?
    Greeklover69's avatar
I am blind, it's on the description....

Has anyone bought from the Official Oneplus store on AE, and paid customs charge in a device?  (Ie how much do they declare on package)

    Cheers
    madcap's avatar
I bought a phone form theri last month. They asked me what value/description I wanted to put on the package, then advised me to not falsify this information when i answered. Still waiting for delivery and it is with customs currently, so we will see...

    Better than the Nord 3?
    jaju123's avatar

Faster chip, faster charging, more of a flagship level of software support. I'd say probably yes

    Try BEST36 code

Almost bought, but with it not arriving until the start of October I'm going to see if I can hold out until Black Fri instead.

Currently using my OnePlus 8T and tbh there isn't anything wrong with it it's just a good few years old now
    Neostar's avatar
I think on Singles Day (China's version of Black Friday) it might be cheaper

Does anyone know if these phones are stuck broadcasting the 5GHz WiFi hotspot on channel 149?
My current Poco phones does this, as do most Xiaomi phones, and many Samsung's.

I'm needing an Android device that will do a 5GHz WiFi hotspot on a well supported channel (below 140).

Ordered. It says- This order will ship in 48 days. If not, your refund will be issued automatically. Will wait and see. Good deal
  24. happymale777's avatar
I assume it comes with a Chinese mains plug.
Instead of a UK mains plug.
    Tushar_SB's avatar
There are options to choose. Just check in the listing . Cheers

Highly recommended, must faster than you ever imaged

Does any one know if manufacturer warranty will be valid in UK if purchasing via AE?
    y_shahs's avatar
Don't think so, they ask for proof of purchase. Has to be purchased in UK (edited)
  27. SupeR130's avatar
Sorry guys - what do people recommend on declaring the value as per the questions above. Should we declare below £135?
    MrCharlie's avatar
That msg from the shop is a a copy and paste msg.

Anything under 135 will also mean pre paid vat, which isn't a option when purchasing. (edited)
  28. Donamilo's avatar
Great phone. Had it for a year and using right this minute. Zero lag

I think the charger alone is probably worth £100 (edited)
  29. GavinOHara's avatar
This or a mint condition refurbished oppo find x5? :/
    MrCharlie's avatar
This. It's a year old. The x5 is a similar to a OT 9 (edited)

Mine arrived yesterday. Battery was completely dead but charged fine. Seems ok
