Description
Synopsis:
Includes all 10 episodes from the multi BAFTA award-winning series.

When a supermarket issues a new car share scheme, assistant manager John Redmond (Peter Kay) and promotions rep Kayleigh Kitson (Sian Gibson) are thrown together, forcing their paths to cross as they journey to work everyday.

Wonderful, natural performances and beautiful, witty writing, makes this a joyous comedy that you’ll want to watch again and again.

Another good thing about this particular comedy is all the hidden "Easter eggs" in the signs n stuff ("No pies are left in this van overnight"), or the vaping bloke who's head disappears in a cloud of, err, mist?

This site has a list of all of the visual gags with pictures google.com/amp…re/

Some of them are fantastic, my personal favourites are the Lost Boys wanted poster and the Samuel L Jackson driving school

Loved this series - although every time I watched it I couldn't help thinking he really needed to wash his rear window (I know it was left intentionally mucky to obscure traffic behind them to minimise continuity issues etc) - might need to go back and watch the episode where he goes to the car wash and see if the rear window is still dirty afterwards 😬

They didn't get through the car wash because Kayleigh had a panic attack. Hence the mucky rear window

I keep meaning to look for Phoenix Nights on DVD as they never do re-runs of it.
These days half of it would probably need editing out for current PC’d-ness
