Makes me laugh all the "Hold" posts, it seems everyone wants a decent GPU for 50p. I paid RRP for the 3070TI FE and am well happy with it. If you want or need a new GPU then buy one!

How much is it worth to you to sit on an old card (which will depreciate even more than the card you will swap it out for) or even worse put off building your PC??

The 3070TI FE is in stock at RRP among many other models out there.

BTW you can forget the 40 series and 7000 series being released this year, especially with the new US / China export regulations. I know this is not GPU related but China is a massive market and the retaliation by China will be swift and expensive for NVIDIA / AMD. If they do actually get released this year the RRP will be far higher than anyone expects, especially given current inflation.

Been seeing all the hold posts ever since i went for the ASUS RX6900XT at £590 a month ago, also could have had an ASUS 6800 for £470. Still yet to see better prices.

Heat added, cheapest around with last cheapest being £530 + delivery (ignoring the Asus cashback offer a while back)

I'm going to hold out a little while longer as prices are definitely falling. But hear nonetheless for the cheapest RX6800 currently available

Last deal got 170+ heat too, so not sure why this one's being voted cold 🤷‍♂️ (edited)

The merge in September can't come soon enough, and will have an indirect knock on effect on AMD pricing too, even though they aren't mined on as much.

*Many* more are holding than you think, despite all the "hot" votes on this sites GPU deals. It's all a downward slope here, regarding GPU pricing.

I get all the calls to 'HOLD' till whenever but these prices are already at a reasonable point. If people are expecting for these cards to dips below £400 or something then they are up for a surprise, maybe used market but not brand new.

Original MSRP was heavily inflated, this was compounded over the years through greed. Then the mining boom hit and they were inflated even more.
How you can say the current prices are reasonable is insane, it shows two things. One, you aren't aware of the historical gpu prices and two you don't understand anything about the current situation.

How good is the cooler on these? Just for £50 more there's a few more options from better brands, Gigabyte and Sapphire.

Powercolor has been a top AMD board partner for years now, which personally I'd rank alongside Sapphire.

Difference between this and Sapphire (NOT Pulse) is primarily looks. The Sapphire has a back plate where this does not. From what I've been reading up online the cooler between them are arguably the same and you won't see any appreciable difference between this and the Sapphire.

Base it on visual taste or brand preference at this point. Not performance. Powercolor are good at RMA and warranty just as is Sapphire.
