No problem. Been seeing crazy amounts of spams for fakes and the UK RRP is a joke compared to what Americans pay, taking into consideration they are made in Italy within the EU!

Good deal - Ray bans haven't been so cheap for a good few years. Paid roughly this when they were on MM and they were inundated with orders.

Do you need to set up a new account with Amazon.com?

I prefer the optics in Bolle & Oakley but for sheer pose factor you can't beat some genuine Ray Bans. Shame they're a bit common now. Saw a guy on the bus wearing them earlier - in the mist. He was on the bus, I wasn't.

Hear the looky looky men do some decent replicas in Benidorm!

also, note that its best to pay in dollars if you have a decent credit card which gives u market rates (e.g. nationwide select credit card), as amazon conversion rates are around 4% below market exchange rates

For all those having trouble with your code just go onto the Amazon help chat thingy.
Mine didn't come through so the chat woman sent me a new code through the chat there and then.
    Very helpful.

A lot of the comments and users of this site remind me of Daily Mail commenters. Spout off first - don't bother reading the story / evidence or looking into it - and coming to their own ignorant conclusion.

Unfortunately pretty typical of this site...

Unlike many of the so called "deals" on this site - that anyone signed up to various email shots get anyway, made up deals, store specific BS - the OP has found a universal deal - that no one else knew about - or bothered to share.

Thay have - and have helped out loads of others - but still get criticism and skepticism from, in general, not that helpful members - Nice one.

    Cheers OP - great deal.

If I had know my password then I'd have bought.

Hopefully I have missed it because the only people I associate with Wayfarers now are idiots wearing bow ties whilst somehow being "street".

A bow tie has never looked good - even if you are a snooker player! xx

I stopped buying Luxoticca manufactured eyewear after watching this. Most people dont realise that *most* 'designer' branded eyewear comes out of the same factory. They're basically a massively unethical company. Corporate greed at its worst. overinflated prices, terrible business ethics. see for yourself. styleite.com/new…es/

Flogged my Ray Bans and bought carerra champions instead.

Anyone who ordered the Tortoise Frame/Green Lens Original Wayfarers, the price has now reduced to $83.88 on Amazon.com. I contacted them through chat, asking for the difference as I paid more, and they refunded $9.98 back to my card.

I Think you can request amazon to send a receipt for import duties and if none are paid or its cheaper then they will refund you the import duties deposit. Sounds a lot of effort though!

The 20% discount code won't work for domestic orders shipped within the US, only for Global shipping program orders.Amazon will collect 20% VAT on the cost of goods, shipping and handling if the value of the order is above £15, but do not add on any more than that. If the actual import tax comes to more than the estimate, Amazon will pay the excess and if the actual amount is less then Amazon will refund the difference.

Thanks a lot - wouldn't it be great if more users of this site were as helpful?

Cheers - and to the OP.

Do you know any of my Amazon UK passwords perchance? Wrote em all down in my password book.

    One of em anyway!

    Cheers

Thanks OP. I've just ordered some Original Wayfarers in tortoise frame/ crystal green lenses (Ray-Ban RB2140 Original Wayfarer Sunglasses) instead as I prefer the larger lenses. They're a little more, coming out at £62.42 so still a great price considering the originals are slightly more originally.

    From the Amazon FAQ page:

The import fees deposit is an estimated amount they take from you to pay for what they believe the cost will be. If an item exceeds the amount of import fees that they estimate then you won't be penalised.

If the import fee is in fact lower, you will be refunded the difference.

Bear in mind that this applies to their Amazon Global range and not to Marketplace Sellers.

I do, I've ordered them exactly like you have; even if, I mean this is a huuuggeee if; they are fake; they are sold by and fulfilled by Amazon who have an excellent record of customer service and so sending them back will not be an issue what-so-ever.

buying items sold and fulfilled by Amazon is as safe as buying directly from a reputable high st store. The only downside is you can't try these on first; I've gone with the 55mm wayfarer as most people say the 52mm is a bit small for men.

Would rather pay the extra £30 from a UK authorised retailer and be … Would rather pay the extra £30 from a UK authorised retailer and be guaranteed genuine and no import fees. Not voting either way.Review as Amazon as the seller:I purchased the Ray-Ban RB2132 52mm sunglasses from Amazon last week. As I read some reviews that some individuals were receiving a fake pair of Ray-Bans, I decided to purchase the sunglasses from "Amazon.com" as the seller. Thinking that I would be safe from receiving counterfeit sunglasses from Amazon's warehouse, I felt confident in my purchase. However, I was very wrong. When I received the sunglasses and opened the packaging, I knew immediately that these sunglasses were fake. Namely due to the following reasons:1) No Ray-Ban logo on the right and left temples of the sunglasses.2) On the inside temple it said, "Made in China".3) The lenses were cheap plastic lenses, and I purchased the "polarized lenses".4) The sunglasses for larger than 55mm, not the 52mm that I ordered.Be wary when ordering these sunglasses from Amazon.com!

There are no additional import fees (included in price)

I find it hard to believe amazon sell fake items directly... jury is out - if they are fake - send them back - simples.

if they are genuine its a £30-£50 saving

i just double checked and the ones I have ardered are sold by amazon and state made in Italy.

the bad reviews seem to be for suppliers 'fulfilled' by amazon.
