There are some good deals at the moment for previous gen Xiaomi phones like POCO F3 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. But if you prefer the phones released in 2022, there are some all time low prices on offer at the moment.

I think, £184 is the lowest ever for Redmi Note 11 Pro - 6GB+64Gb and £224 is the lowest ever for POCO X4 Pro 5G - 8GB+256GB

Phone manufacturers are ridiculously cheapening the 'Pro' monicker. Nothing professional about these devices, that's for certain.

Any ideas why the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is disproportionately more expensive than their X4 equivalent? As far as I can see, there seems no difference in spec, only branding and colourways.

Even the upcoming "Deal of the day" seems quite poor value. (edited)

They are exactly the same phone. To me there are two possibilities as to why the X4 Pro is so much cheaper. Number 1, Xiaomi are trying to position Redmi as a more premium brand than Poco. Number 2, despite what Xiaomi say they know the Poco designs look cheap and tacky and have lowered the price accordingly

So tempted on this to replace my Moto G8plus

The Samsung A52S is going for £230 and it's better than both of the phones here

The slower charging is a kicker for me (also bizarre supplying a 15w charger for a 25w capable phone)I could have overlooked the charging, if it wasn't for the plastic construction and slightly dated design (rounded edges). The performance would be wasted on me. May just buy some time and hold out for the Redmi. Then I can moan about lack of case choices, bloatware, ads and being stuck on Android 11......You really can't have it all.

Imo the A52S is the most well balanced for the price though. Even has IP water resistance. If money is no object then the new Sony Xperia 1 IV is excellent but it's ridiculously expensive

I'm with the latter. I prefer the look of the Redmi as it's matt, a bit more conservative and IMHO, looks classier. I think the POCO Is more of a "youth" offering. I'm probably not target audience.

The X4 seems a bit more toned down, compared to previous POCOs, but I still find the colour choices and the bling finish on the back a bit excessive.

Boring me, will have to hold fire till round 52 of the Xiaomi sale...😔 (edited)

I prefer a more understated classy design for my phone's too. To me, it's a phone. Not a fashion accessory. That being said I'm not willing to pay an £80 premium for the same phone just with a nicer aesthetic

I added redmi note 10 pro and poco x4 to my basket, and there were two items listed as Free Gifts.

I removed redmi note 10, and processed the payment. Hope it helps

Quite a few cases on Amazon. This phone is huge in China so perhaps a good deal of choices on Wish or some equivalent?

Thanks. I bought a Redmi Note 9 for my dad a few years ago, which I de-bloated before giving it to him. Was a bit surprised to see ads on his lock screen recently (easily removed). I guess it may have updated or something, bringing back some prominent ads.

I suppose I'm probably a bit "green" eyed around the choice of quality cases available for more mainstream phones, like Samsung's and Apple. (edited)

just bear in mind the non 5g (which this deal is) is only Mediatek Helio G96 (12 nm) not Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 (6 nm) which the 5g is, still a good deal if not interested in 5g tho, oh & unsurprisingly the gpu aint same obviously adreno 619 v Mali-G57 MC2 (g57 has half the 619s cache & only 32 shading units compared to 619s = 128) which is shame as g57 is 7nm not the 619's 8nm which will run hotter
