Resident Evil
Hailed by many as a masterpiece, this remake of the first entry in the long-running Resident Evil series is now playable in HD. Experience true terror in this genre-launching survival horror classic.

The year is 1998. The Bravo Team of S.T.A.R.S., an elite special forces squad, has gone radio silent, and its Alpha Team has been dispatched to the forest on the outskirts of Raccoon City to investigate this mysterious disappearance. Attacked by bizarre and vicious dogs, alpha team members Chris and Jill manage to escape to a mysterious mansion in the middle of the forest. The horrors they encounter there are far greater than anyone might have foreseen...

Resident Evil 0
This entry in the Resident Evil series expands on and enriches the excitement and intrigue of the survival horror genre. Learn of the events that preceded the series' first game, and experience thrilling new gameplay systems as you alternate between its two playable characters to solve the mystery.

In 1998, the American town of Raccoon City has been host to a series of strange and grisly murders. Rebecca Chambers, a new member of the elite special forces team known as S.T.A.R.S., has been dispatched along with the other Bravo Team members to investigate. Her search leads her to a train which has stopped in the middle of the forest. Little does she know, that this train is bound only for the realm of nightmares...

Resident Evil 4
Ushering in a new phase in the Resident Evil franchise, this game focuses on the events following the dissolution of Umbrella Corporation. The pioneering over-the-shoulder camera perspective is a departure from the fixed-camera views found in earlier entries, allowing for unrivaled action gameplay which has been met with widespread critical acclaim.

In the wake of the completely unprecedented biological disaster of Raccoon City, the corporation exposed as the initiator of those atrocities, Umbrella, has been dissolved. Leon S. Kennedy, a survivor of the incident, has gone on to become a special agent in the direct employ of the president of the United States. The president's daughter has been kidnapped, and Leon has followed eyewitness reports to a cold village in Europe. In that village, a new intrigue awaits...

Resident Evil 5
One of the most popular Resident Evil titles can now be played on the go, featuring Chris Redfield and his partner Sheva Alomar, as they venture to the heart of Africa to investigate an outbreak. Featuring single-player and co-op modes, this fully-loaded package includes all previously released DLC (Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape story expansions, Versus mode, extra figures and 4 costumes), No Mercy mode, as well as the new mode “The Mercenaries United” which combines the two fan-favorite modes, The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion for an even more intense experience.

Resident Evil 6
Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 is a dramatic horror experience that cannot be forgotten. The game spans various areas across the globe starring multiple playable characters, including fan favorites and new faces.

Jump into the fray either solo or in 2-player co-op in 4 dramatic chapters of the campaign. Some missions even feature additional random matchmaking with other players for unique 4-player co-op crossover boss battles. For more multiplayer action, head into one of the extra modes such as Survivor - which pits up to 6-players head-to-head in a heated battle.

This edition includes all DLC, along with two costumes per main character that were originally Residentevil.net exclusives, but are now unlockable through the game itself.

Resident Evil Revelations 2
The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favorite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save. Moira Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. Working together, they must find out who took them and to what sinister end. Will Claire and Moira make it out alive and discover what’s led to them being taken to this remote island? A story of twists and turns will have players guessing the next step at every turn.

Enhance your gameplay experience even further with additional motion controls that let you aim and wield your weapons with greater accuracy on the Nintendo Switch

So I’m thinking of buying two of these, any advise for anyone who’s completed them which two are the best? 4 seems to get a good review from most.

RE4 is generally considered to be one of the best games ever made and the single best game of its generation. Since that same generation included Killer 7 and Shadow of the Colossus, I massively disagree with that opinion but there you go.

But yeah, I'd probably say go for 4 and 5.

Just a warning about performance: 5 and 6 don't run great. Check Digital Foundry's video on it.

I did play through 4 on the Switch and had a great time!

What’s the cheapest region on Ninty E-store?

Poland, but it's only by a few pence. Brazil, Chile cheaper but almost impossible to buy from

    I like 5 & 6... Just saying...

I do too, but they are inferior to 4, which to be fair, is an absolute masterpiece.
5 was pretty reasonable, looked great, but just didn't have the same charm.
6 lost further charm and went for adding content for contents sake, while I'm not one to complain about content per say, it did give the illusion that they felt a bit lost and didn't know what to do so went for some half baked monster to see what stuck. Had they focused on Leon's campaign it could have been received differently.
By the next mainline entry, they smashed it, a resi for an updated audience.

RE4 on the GameCube when it came out, 👌🔥
And Even the original resident evil remake on the cube, they blew me away back then. Great games!

Cheers, absolutely loved 4 on the wii!

5 is at its best co op. Heat added.

Think I may get 4. Having it on pc, 360, GameCube just is not quite enough.

Stopped playing after 3 as I didn't like the move away from the survival horror returned to it for 7 and 8 and have since went back to play 5 and 6 (mostly because of co-op) and still prefer 1-3 personally. (edited)
    jasmith85's avatar
Glad I'm not the only one who prefers this, yes I like Resident Evil 4 but for me I don't find it to be a master piece that would honest be the Resident Evil 1 Remake my word that was pretty. For myself personally the Survival Horror so 0-3 and Code Veronica still head and shoulders above the rest., less said above Resi 6 the better.

    Heat for the deal though.

If £5 each I would bite as have them on Xbox and ps.

Resi 6's Mercenary mode is top tier (solo or coop)

I want to give REmake (Resident Evil) some love. The game is incredible and well worth picking up. If you do, I highly recommend setting it to tank controls for the authentic experience. (edited)
  12. FOREIGN_SONGS's avatar
Finally, a decent sale price! The frequent £11.99 sale price was still too high for me. These can all be grabbed for much, much cheaper on other platforms, but I think I'll bite now.
  13. Countyfan81's avatar
How does 4 play on Switch? May as well buy it on a 3rd platform I guess...

    Resis 1, 2, 4, 7 and 8 are some of my favourite games ever, I haven't played 0 or Revelations 1 and 2. Should I try these?
    gavsco82's avatar
if you liked 1 then yeah 0 is a good bet
  15. deleted2812976's avatar
Never played it but from what I know it’s an r rated Luigis mansion? Regardless going for the original, thanks OP (edited)
    djhazardous's avatar

    Replying to

Yeah, Luigi's Mansion is pretty much a Resi game for kids with a Ghostbusters mechanic. (edited)

    4 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Love the whole franchise, except 6 - so bad, I only played a third of it before abandoning. My order of greatness:-

    2, 4, 1, Veronica, 0, 3, 5 and a very distant. ...6

I hear 7 is great, but didn't risk it after 6 being so poor. (edited)
    Curiousben's avatar
7 is a totally different beast altogether. If you enjoyed 1 and 2 you'll probably like it. Much more horror focused than 5 + 6
  18. corey1993's avatar
might pick up RE4 just to have it on switch. i think i own it about 3 times over already damn you capcom..

its a shame it doesnt have motion controls. the wii version of the game is actually really good (edited)

Can someone tell me what its like to play in hand-held mode please? I really only play my switch in hand-held mode and imagine this to be a nightmare to play like that.
    B1naryC0de's avatar
    It will be absolutely fine
If the Witcher 3 plays perfectly fine on my Switch Lite, then a years old Resi 4 will be fine

Thabks veen waiting for this i hear great things about 4 but never played it
  23. gabesdad's avatar
Is there another remake of 4 on the way? Yes according to YouTube.

Half expected them to remake Code: Veronica before doing 4 but hey ain't complaining!

    RE5 was the reason I purchased a 360.

    20GB download, ouch
  26. tempus121's avatar
Question, seems a few people here have played 4 on the switch. I have the lite and I’m playing this currently but the control option to move with the left toggle but to turn is the arrows below it… is there a way to change this? Not sure if it’s just me but it seems very stop start to move about like this. Surely the better option is to have the turning on the right toggle.
  27. hecatae's avatar
RE5 plays well, as fun as I remembered
