"Office PC"... - i feel so insulted...

    Its a 5600G 6Core 12Thread with vega Graphics can do light 1080 Gaming :P.

And if u boost the PSU up, u can make a fantastic 3.0 System with all the graphics card that are on here atm, nothing major between a 3.0 to 4.0 for value buyers, and if u wanna take this to a main stream 4.0 spec, then the 5600X/5700x/5800x via B550 are excellent value. as boosters.

but yes, for office users its also good too, ha.
    Markoffski63's avatar
Yeah I agree I'd spend the extra £25 to take the PSU up to the 750w bronze, and I would still utilise the Radeon graphics on the 5600g with whichever card I chose and run a dual graphics setup. (edited)

i have to agree, but it depends on the user really TBH.

    £75 Gap

    480GB SSD -> 2TB NVME + Windows -£10 tuf drop.

"85 time u recalc the tuff board in the mix"
    if u get rid of the £15 480GB = £100.00 difference.

£100 for 2TB of nvme / windows. vs some sellers doing windows for just £90 alone.

it all comes down to the type of user, do they need 2tb and do they need it with windows, and how they require that windows,

i think this one. will be not as hot as the other due to obvious reasons, but one that maybe more appricated by a lot of actual buyers then voters, most people like windows preloaded even if we do say DIY

two of the best systems for DDR5 (radeons are the following)

    • ASUS PRIME A620M-K (Tuf wifi +54 and many others)
    • ADATA 16GB DDR5 5200Mhz (32GB From £70++)

It's a shame you can't remove Windows as they seem to value it at quite a lot (when adding it on to machines that don't include it).

    5600G / A520 Tuf / 16GB / 480GB SSD at £275.00
    VS
    5600G / A520 K / 16GB / 2TB nve at £349.99

Two type of 1st player Cases.

    Cost Gap of £75.00
    480GB SSD -> 2TB NVME/Windows.(drop of £10 board to settle it)

"480GB SSD one can be removed so u can add ur own", or use the site options.

that might be more idea for u.

however the Windows one does also have that 1P promo that is handy for -case +PSU swap over.

Is there a website where I can compare cpu specs side by side like gsmarena for phone ?
    FairPriceSystems's avatar
    Author
    cpubenchmark.net/
    userbenchmark.com/

Great for comparing GPU/CPU on the same series by the same manurfactor. but if we do say cross generation of Intel 13400F vs 7600

    5600X VS 12400F

i would take note how they feel it performs better but then go in to Utube, and look for direct compare real world working on their bars.

    search term i.e:
    12400F nexus.
    5600 nexus.

    for that utuber.

and see his personal charts where he will put together a range of test on a broad cpu range in proper real time.

as the two sites might fav one brand over the other, but good for understand each brands lows to highs and written performance. (edited)

    350+275 = 625

The 5600G at £349.99 would require a PSU boost and i suggest the +65 750W GOLD (gives some headroom n calc good against the others too) = £690.00 (could do it under the TX550 as its a top quality psu but thats saving 25 and pushing it)

thats my suggestion, but it would be good to boost the 5600G to 5600X at £46 via the B550 at 40 too. to make a 4.0 spec too. .

5600X vs 5600G Cross over is around the 6700+++ when u start to feel the lack of pace between the CPU, GPU's under isnt that bad as proven on the 3060 but GPU after that do feel the pinch that grows..

3.0 vs 4.0(double l3 too) (£85 time u factor in two aspect the X/B wil always be a debating factor) and that is why gpu like 3060 pav well under a 3.0 with half L3, 6700xt under the higher cpu will do wonders and ones higher.

little something there to take under advicement. (edited)

Can anyone point me in the direction of a pc that will smoothly run excel that has hundreds of thousands of rows in multiple tabs, with a bunch of look ups between them, and powerbi desktop where the file is 3gb?

Currently using a dell xps 15 laptop with an i7 and 32 gb ram, and it chugs (I think it’s more a cpu issue than ram). Happy to go to a desktop, but ideally not a full size one

Since I work from home I’m leaning towards AMD as intel looks like it will be way more expensive to run. Any help is appreciated!

I don’t think I can get the boss to pay any more than £1k inc Vat… (edited)

Good deal, very tempted, although I think I prefer the DKD3A Case.

Is the 5600G likely to bottleneck a 6700 XT? (edited)
    FairPriceSystems's avatar
    Author
es, but it will still be a decent uncut system, because to get a 5600X/4.0 spec its £46/£40 extra, so that in my old laymen terms use to be a "graphics card boost lol".

This is a 5600G vs 5600 via a 3070 (so the 6700XT will be more inclined to be like this)

    5600x vs 5600G via 3060

What would I need to add to this to play Starfield?

Depends what resolution and settings you plan to play on, and how smooth you want it to be.

hey mate, I'm after a £500 budget pc build for my daughter. She's after mediocre games like the sims, roblox, fortnite as well as school work. I can build myself but been out the loop a couple years, is it better to buy this or grab parts separately?

Based from the model of £275 link
-£15 remove ssd = 260(after voucher code price)
    +40 TX 550W Corsair PSU = £300.00
+34 Kioxia 1TB Exceri (self install at £34 when using ebay/ebuyer code)
    + AMD 6650XT £200 (after code price)

    =535 which makes the below:

    5600G £100 / A520 Tuf £60 / TX550 £60 / 1st player case £40 / 16GB Ram £30 (1TB £35 / 6650XT £200)
^ could by the 5600G/A520 alone without going for the rest before them()ones, and go cheaper on the psu,

or exchange 5600G/A520 set up for a 12100F/H610 if u wanna complete self build and ill put a list together, that is a faster cpu but less cores.

    Hello. that is correct.

Drop in case but better psu for a 1 Pence.
and will be perfect for that.

PS: id get the 6650xt at £200.00 out of the AMD cards around that budget atm if i was u. (edited)

Due to the new rules, ive updated the bottom section as this link would also be good to add GPU via the 5700X/B550 and take advantage of the AMD 7800XT that is available.
